Hi
Me again with yet another BVM 20F1 Question
I got my BVM 20f1 Australian version delivered to me today. I am waiting for my RGB scart cables to arrive as well as BNC to scart adaptor, so right now its sitting there doing nothing until those cables arrive.
My questions are.
1. I cant see any input for sound. where do the sound cables plug into?
2. How would i go about connecting external speakers to the unit?
3. The BVM has come with 2 cards - 1 that says analog and has Y PB and PR In out, and the other one says 21D and has the RGB In out. There are 3 75ohm terminators on the Y PB PR outputs. Do i need any more terminators for the RGB card or will the three do?
Thanks again.

Re: BVM-20F1 Questions
1) they don't.
2) you don't.
3) the stock board (on the right) has a RGBs input which you can use for both RGBs and component sources. The 21D is a digital SDI board which you can use for an additional component or RGsB source. You should terminate all outputs if you're using the associated inputs.

Re: BVM-20F1 Questions
Thanks for the quick response
Would that mean to get sound/speakers, i would have to plug a Female RGB SCART to BNC + Audio Cable into a scart switch? Or am i over complicating this?
Thanks again

Re: BVM-20F1 Questions
Usually you'll be using a Scart to BNC breakout cable and most of these have a pair of RCA audio breakouts which you can easily connect to any pair of active speakers.

Re: BVM-20F1 Questions
I got the breakout cable with the audio breakouts arriving hopefully soon so i can power up the BVM
So if i plug in a pair of speakers, will this work on any source (Like Y pb pr) or just on the RGB source?

just the source that's plugged into the breakout cable. So if i plug in a pair of speakers, will this work on any source (Like Y pb pr) or just on the RGB source?
If you got multiple sources you might want to invest in a little audio switch box.

Re: BVM-20F1 Questions
Thanks Fudoh
I have the BVM and have spent sometime setting up and perfecting the geometry, colour etc.
The one thing i noticed is that even without anything plugged in the display seems like there is interference/wavy effect horizontally. If i bump up the contast you can really notice it. Again this is with a console, and without a console plugged in.
At the moment, the BVM display due to this isnt "wow" worthy.
Any ideas off the top of your head(s)
Thanks
