Where to buy Euro Scart Cables

Post by broken harbour »

Where are you buying just straight up Euro scart cables. Non console specific, just normal euro-scart.

I need one female-male cable to use an extender, and one male-male to join two switches together.

I finally have all my scart consoles working with proper cables and such, and I don't want to introduce cheap Chinese stuff of dubious quality.

I'm leery of ebay unless someone can point me to a seller that they've used with good success before.

If you know how to use a soldering iron, I'd say to just buy the SCART connectors and then use the cable from a VGA cable (those are usually very well made, excellent insulation and stuff) and hook it up.

A lot of SCART cables are terribly made, lacking several ground connections and other things.

If you can, try making your own, otherwise try getting SCART cables from european eBay sellers: since we used SCART and RGB a lot here in Europe, most sellers know how those cables are supposed to be made.

YMMV obviously.

Retro accessories sells a male to male. You can ask if they will make a male to female too:
