Fat Japanese Saturn cases

Post by evil_ash_xero »

I am trying to find those cases that games like Cotton 2 fit into. Where they are just slightly larger than a normal CD case.

I went to a site that supposedly told you which ones had the fat cases, but I ended up getting double cases. They were cheap games, but still.

Anyway, is there any place to just buy these things in a pack, or are there any JP Saturn games that are dirt cheap that have these cases? If I can find them sealed on EBay, I will just swap them. I only have two games that need new cases.

Some Dreamcast games used them also. Some that are not pricey. Capcom vs SNK 1 is an example.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I messed up.

The games I did order, do have those cases. They were packed together, so it looked like a double jewel case. Autism.

HMMM....but I did get the wrong Playstation case. :x

What games did you get on the cheap to replace the thick cases?

My Batsugun case has broken teeth from when I moved a few years ago. The DC ones are white so don't really go.

I recall reading that there's some golf game which goes for peanuts which came in a large case, but I forget its title.

I bought Shin Theme Park and Transport Tycoon.

Here's the list I went by.

For a while I was snagging copies of Pro Yakyuu Greatest 9 98 since they were like $5 new (way back when) and came in Sega wide cases. Pretty sure it was 98 and not 97.

I ended up replacing damaged Saturn Cotton 2, Saturn Batsugun, Saturn Lunar Silver Star Story Complete MPEG Ver and DC Spawn In The Demon's Hand cases that way.

*edit*
The list you linked to confirmed that it was indeed Greatest 9 98.

Greatest 9 is the series the WSB series is based off of, right? I don't have the Saturn WSB games yet, but I like some of Sega's other baseball games, including Sports Talk and Baseball Advance (also based on a Greatest Nine game, makes me wonder why they didn't call it World Series Baseball).

I only have two games with a thick case (Cotton 2 and Batsugun) and neither one is cheap.

Cotton 2 and Batsugun are the only 2 I had, as well.

They have nice new cases now.

One of the games I bought was close to 25 dollars, and the other was about 18. Not uber cheap, but not expensive.

But I got them sealed. The cases I originally had, are scuffed. But they aren't cracked or anything. If anyone is interested, I'll sell 'em on the cheap. As long as you live in the U.S..
One does have a broken tooth, inside the case though.
