Underwater stages would be dece for a shmup level too. Kinda dumb that he didn't have any block obstacles, could make for a good Gradius-style level.

(I think this looks boring but it's not gonna stop me from trying)

About that boss fight... how much control does the game give you in designing how the enemy moves? Or is that just a prebaked movement pattern that you can't change?

From what I've seen, you don't have any control over the enemy AI.
