Flyback focus VGA CRT

Post by Brando1975 »

Hi,

I want to use a VGA CRT Sony with MameOSX but I think the pixels are razor sharp, about 10 years ago I had a sony pvm 1390 and the monitor
was very blurred (in comparison, razor sharp for old games), do you think its a good idea to defocus the monitor in the flyback to get a similar effect?

Thanks

It won't look the same, but I don't think it would damage your monitor or anything. I'm not totally sure about that though.

MameOSX doesn't support bilinear filtering?
