Hey thanks, that's pretty helpful!
Legal issues set aside for a moment, the Raiden II distribution on Home of the Underdogs is a hacked release where all the menus are translated in English... but they're standard GDI Windows controls.
It'll be probably a lot less easier to replace bitmapped Kanji (Katakana?) with English text.

A timely bump! Does anybody know of any websites that still sell Kamui? I haven't had much luck searching for it, but as a monoglot I'm not the best equipped to do so.

Re: Kamui menu translation
I think nanapo is one of the few guys around still carrying this thing:
http://www.7-iro.org/store/list.htm
(There are english instructions somewhere, I know I saw them)
Check rancor's site, Tokyo Shmups too. Else, if you can get someone in Japan to get you the games, both Melonbooks and Akiba Ooukoku also carry some copies.
Funny how you guys bumped this thread, I've been playing Kamui for the last couple of days. It's so damn well done... I love it.

I was also wondering if anyone knew what the options were in the setup menu (Kamui setup program)

Wasn't there an official release, rendering this whole topic obsolete?
