Caladrius rated for PEGI. Incoming localization?

Post by Oniros »

Caladrius, just like Shooting Love earlier this year, was just given a PEGI rating. I was wondering though how the hell it was given a 12 rating with all the prev clothing ripping thing going on. Maybe it was censored?

Well, PEGI is European...they probably thought it's more funny than harmful;-)

They just added a cut-in of Benny Hill saluting for the costume damage sequences.

Why the 360 version though? Caladrius Blaze would have been a much better option, plus we wouldn't have to worry much about a region lock.

Oh well, I'll just keep Caladrius Blaze on list of games I may import someday.

Supposedly they're patching at least some of Blaze's stuff into the 360 version, maybe the localized version comes pre-patched.

Or they'll release the vanilla version and offer Blaze as DLC worldwide. Which would suck for all of us but it would make a lot of sense financially speaking.

I will be grateful for whatever is offered for my US console. Especially if $20 is the price point.

I think he means why not just port Blaze for PS3 that comes with all the content on the disc. It would probably confirm my suspicions that Blaze will be paid DLC on the 360, and the worldwide release is being used to help boost the DLC's sales.

Will this be a "localization" like the "localization" of Deathsmiles 2X from the US Xbox Games on the Demand?

The only reason I am interested in this is to have the text translated in a language I can read, otherwise I would just import the japanese version of Blaze.

Don't forget that PS3 Blaze was probably coded by Shanghai Riceman Technology Co. Ltd - so MOSS may not have the in house capability to modify PS3 code. The Xbox 360 DLC is probably being worked on internally. They could be assuming that localizing the Xbox 360 game + DLC themselves is going to be cheaper than engaging Riceman again to localize the PS3 version. Furthermore the Xbox 360 version had better sales than PS3 Blaze so for the Western release they are betting on the Xbox 360.

Can't say for sure yet, I mean, even Shooting Love 200X got an English translation. I just hope its the same for this if and when it does release overseas (if possible), even if surprisingly or stealthly.

It finally showed up on the US Xbox website! Will at least have English menus and subtitles. Someone was throwing around a date of August 4th but I don't know where they got that from.

Took a while, lol, now the waiting game, lol. At least for some screenshots (with some English text) and a Manual to look around at. X3

Well, Oniros, the date now seems to be on the game's info/overview, so yeah, gonna have to take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully it releases on said date.

It's bullet hell-ish, but not to the same degree as Cave stuff. It's mostly about planning and resource management; how to effectively use your 4 weapon types to balance score, leveling, and survival. Read here for more details.

You're absolutely right, it's down now. Did anyone get around downloading the manual? I wanted to take a look.

Dunno whatever happened to it, the game page for it is gone now, but I suppose it'll be back soon near or at release. Considering confirmation that its already coming soon. Anyways, a fellow shump fan to the community always goes for backups, lol.

Though the English manual is nothing much compared to the JP one, since it leaves out the Story and Character Profiles, maybe some pages too, but its fine as it is.

Before it was taken down, the description made it sound like this is going to be a digital-only release.

Well, it is gonna be anyways, since 360 games are slowy being released these days, and as something niche as this might as well be out digitally, since there might be no other choice, at least others like Shooting Love 200X and Under Defeat HD had to bring it out this way digitally overseas.
---
Update: Achievement list is now translated into English, so no stacking it seems. But looks like the game is coming rather soon!

Moss announced that the update to Caladrius is finally out via Twitter. At some point did they ever mention when the game is releasing worldwide?

Nope, nothing really, I already mentioned it though, but anyways, those that have the game, you can check the ach. list and it'll be in English, which is some sort of sign it might be coming anytime.
