Super Emotia underscan/overscan

Post by Uncle Rico »

Can anyone help?

Whilst using a super emotia with a pvm, and having the overscan switched on, the image zooms in too far and i lose about 5 or 6 lines of the image on the top and bottom of the screen. With the underscan switched on the image fails to fill the screen and i am left with a few lines missing on the top and bottom. Having read an earlier post from Fudoh, i believe that overscan is the way to go but how do you get the image to fill the screen without losing any of the image/lines. There are no vertical adjustment settings on the emotia that can remedy this.

Does anyone know how to overcome this problem?

Forgive me if this has already been answered somewhere, i have looked.

If you're using underscan you're losing your input/output line/pixel/scanline alignment, so that's totally out of the question.

Set the Emotia to overscan and adjust your display accordingly.

Would i have to adjust the display via the hidden menu on the pvm? I cant seem to find any adjustments elsewhere.

Thanks for the quick response.

certainly depends on the year your PVM was built in. Might just as well be analogue dial controls in the back of the chassis.

Ok thats great thanks. Its a 20L4 model that i got new and still in its original box a couple of years ago. I think it was from early 2000s, maybe 2002/2003, I'll have to check when i get back later. It had been kept in storage and unused since then. Is it the norm to have to make this adjustment with this ( x360/emotia/pvm ) set up?

Sorted now. It was easy enough to adjust when in the service menu. Its so much better now, fills the screen nice, I'm sure it feels a bit smoother too. Cheers Fudoh.
