Underclocked Super Gameboy

Anyone have any comparisons between a modded and a non modded NTSC Super Gameboy? This is the only video I could find on it.

Or just buy a Super GameBoy 2. Runs at proper clockspeed, plus supports the link cable for multiplayer goodness. Only released in Japan, but they can often be found for about 500yen or so...

I've only tried this mod with a European Super Gameboy. But it didn't seem like it was much different than my US Super Gameboy.

The difference is quite noticeable. The sound is better, and the game stutters far less.

Bad_Ad84 on Assembler sells the crystals, among many other mods for various systems. I've bought from him many times. http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/for ... etc.39971/

Right, I believe it plays 2.4% faster which doesn't sound like much but it is noticeable when comparing it with the original Gameboy.
