How to hang 200cm Espgaluda Poster

Post by JigsawMan »

This maybe sorta off topic so mods please move if it is but...

I have a wicked 74cm x 200cm Espgaluda poster. Trouble is I cannot find a frame to fit. I usually buy frames from fastframes.co.uk; but the biggest they do is 150cm tall. So does anyone know of a frame supplier in the UK that could make me a custom frame (or plexiglass mount like you see at some trade shows - as long as it is wall mountable.

Or, what do you think about cutting it in half and then mounting it in two frames above eachother. Chances are I would never sell it, so reasle value isn;t too much of a worry - butthen you never know when I may need the cash to make that mortgage payment...

any thoughts? how have you guys mounted those massive espgaluda II posters? Even though it was a folded job from excellentcom, the folds wouldn't notice when you are standing a foot away as long as it's behind glass/plexiglass.

sorry for such a long post about a poster!

I think this calls for the obligatory "pics.now." or as soon as you do find some way to frame it.

Ever thought about custom making a frame? Like, but a big sheet of window glass measured and cut to size, and build your own frame around it?

You could ask a someone you know who's a carpenter to make a custom frame for you (my dad's done this more than once for people who asked him to)...:?

*edit: iatneH beat me to it while I was typing...:)

Where I live I have about 10 picture framing shops within a 2 mile radius, surely you have those in Wales..
They will frame any size picture, it will not be cheap though.

Moved to off-topic.

I think JigsawMan failed to mention it's a 2m ESPGaluda II poster.
