Since this is sort of a "wish thread", why not "Caveodius" or something.

Kosame, Rivet, Reko-hime, Yuuma, and Stephanie all in the same game. Awwwww...

Since we're getting into the "never happening" wishes I guess I mine as well list mine.

If Cave continues on the sequel route, it would be cool if they could aquire the rights to Toaplans old IP's and make a Truxton III or Batsugun II.

Side note: Does anyone own the rights to Toaplans old IP's? It would be choice if we finally got a Toaplan shmup collection one of these days.

I think Banpresto owns the rights.

Your point was that the originals are *ALYWAYS* better. Finding just one single example where that is not so destroys your point (which I did). In fact, I can think of a dozen or more for which it's false. No, that doesn't mean it's ALWAYS the case (I can also think of a dozen examples to back up your statement), but you are making some pretty broad and blanket statements.

Perhaps you should refrain from using absolutes in your wording?

Okay, here is my point. The point was, this statement by Dandy J is unrealistic and far too broad. The evidence was that Raiden II is superior to Raiden I and G.Darius is superior to Darius. And those sequels are better than a lot of original games. I thought that was obvious to most readers. (With R-Type it's more debatable.) Elvis, I'M AGREEING WITH YOU. 'Nuff said.

I'd like an ESP Ra.De. II - A.D. 2020 and a spiritual successor to OutZone and FixEight (lose the checkpoints that OutZone has though).

ESP Ra.De. II could ditch Kakusei (to keep it separate from the Galuda arc of the storyline), bring back the ESP Shot, and add some new systems.
