This week I recieved a (bootleg) of Street Fighter II Champion Edition, but I’m having some screen issues with it…
The screen keeps ‘flickering’ as you can see in this Youtube video:
https://youtu.be/6A9Z-ialz6I
If I hook up another Jamma or MVS board, the screen is fine, no flickering.
I tried adjusting the 5V from 4.8V to 5.1V, but the only difference I see is the screen getting darker and slightly smaller when I lower the voltage.
Could this be a (sync) setting or cap issue of the monitor of some kind? I don’t want to start turning unnecessary knobs which could compromise my good quality picture with the MVS board.
The cabinet I tested in is a 6 slot Electrocoin with a Hantarex MTC9110 25” monitor.

Re: Screen flickering Hantarex monitor
If the monitor is fine with other games(?) the monitor caps would not be my first guess if it's just this game...
...No idea about specific hardware on the board - maybe caps around some video output chip or something, but not my first bet.
HOWEVER ... presuming the monitor plays fine with other boards my bet would be that the sync level is a tad low; beyond putting it through a powered converter [and then downsampling]/signal extender of some sort, I'm not sure how you'd fix this for your specific setup...
Maybe test if the board acts the same on other monitors/supergun tvs?
If it acts up with the same flicker then perhaps it's board side, if not, then likely issue is that the board's signal levels are just not a good match for the monitor...?

I also tried adjusting the h sync and v sync just now, but no improvement.
I will find someone near me to test the board in their cabinet to make sure...

If it's a boot to begin with, and causing your screen to go to fits, I'd just treat it as a parts source. No reason to torture good working equipment over it. Just my $0.02, though.

Here are 2 more video's which show the problem,
The screen 'scrolls/flickers' from top to bottom.

Re: Screen flickering Hantarex monitor
Problem solved!!
In my wiring loom pin 14 is connected directly to the chassis but has no direct connection to ground.
I checked the PCB and there is no trace on pin 14, so no video ground from the PCB, connected pin 14 on the PCB side directly to ground and problem solved!!
