It's a platform game, but you spend about half of the time swimming underwater. It feels a bit like the Kirby games: It's very easy, but it never gets boring, due to the creativity of the levels and bosses. In fact, it's quite addictive. I played through the first Stafi game a while ago. Currently I'm enjoying part 2 and have part 3 on its way to me. I'm also looking very forward to Stafi 4 on the DS. Great games, highly recommended.SAM wrote:What is kind of game Starfy is, btw?
the anikis and uminins appear in lang4 too. i don't think they're guests in 3 or 5.Ganelon wrote:I could've told him that.zinger wrote:Heh. Since it isn't shmup related, I'll tell ya. Langrisser II.captain ahar wrote:

oh how i love those games.
They're actually in Langrisser V as well but the process to reaching their secret scenario is just as obscure. But that portrait is the Langrisser II in-game portrait.chtimi wrote:the anikis and uminins appear in lang4 too. i don't think they're guests in 3 or 5.Ganelon wrote:I could've told him that.zinger wrote: Heh. HahaUnscathedFlyingObject wrote:It's an african mask called KpleKple (say ple fast twice) made by the Baule people from the Ivory Coast. It's the only african mask I've seen that has a creepy-cute look to it and the only that's used to scared the sh*t out of little kids. You see, hitting kids is not kosher for the Baule so when they've had enough of the little bastards, they'll wear the thing and visit them during bedtime.
It's the most awesome mask ever. It's so awesome I made it my avatar.
PS I wonder how the Baule deal with wet beds.
KpleKple happens to be the son of Goli, the Baule's god of punishment. I'd be scared if the son of the devil came for me. Also, the KpleKple mask has horns, but I cut 'em off because they take too much space, and we have a 80 by 80 limit here.SAM wrote:HahaUnscathedFlyingObject wrote:It's an african mask called KpleKple (say ple fast twice) made by the Baule people from the Ivory Coast. Those Baule people try to scare kids with that?
Well I guess everything might look a bit scary in the dark.
Here, seemed a good time to change avatar. Now you can tell which episode I truly worship in the seriesHerr Schatten wrote:
Turrican
Bren McGuire from Turrican (or maybe Turrican II, both games use the same sprite)

That should fix itself whenever the DNS update goes through, but I've gone ahead and fixed the links on the second page. Can't do anything about the links broken due to recent avatar changes though.Fenrir wrote:What a nice collection of broken links
in the comic JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, from part IV of the series, there's a Stand called "Pearl Jam"UnscathedFlyingObject wrote:It's an african mask called KpleKple (say ple fast twice) made by the Baule people from the Ivory Coast.
Actually, It was Lina Inverse from Slayers. SAM is correct. I just changed it, though. Can you guess where the new avatar is from?Specineff wrote:SAM, I think that BrianC's av is actually one of the girls from Saber Marionette. Yeah, total ripoff. But it's not Lina.
