For those who may or may not know of this game, it is an average difficulty shmup that features 3 ships with 3 special weapons each, and three different support ships with different abilities, as well as branching paths so there are a number of options to mess around with.
I make this topic though, because something Kaiseroo said last night reminded me of the game for some reason, but I've never been able to finish it because it always crashes at the very end of stage 4. I would like to actually finish the damn thing through the true final boss someday, but I was wondering if anyone knows whats up with this or if they have seen a stage 5 before, and if possible could direct me to a link/version of the game that won't crash without fail.
Blue Sabers: Operation Orbital Hammer crash issues
Re: Blue Sabers: Operation Orbital Hammer crash issues
The only way I was ever successfully able to play the game was by purchasing a windows xp junk laptop, you can find one on ebay for less than 30 bucks if you're lucky. It was worth the purchase because it was an awesome game and I would like to see more games that use different weapon systems like it did. The game Tails Gear though, still crashed and is unplayable on any computer I've tried it on. You probably already tried to put it in XP mode on your computer, right? I'll get back to you on getting a link for the version I used because I have it downloaded and archived on the HD that I took out of the junk laptop to use as an external hd.

Have you tried running it with Applocale? If it's trying to open a filename with Japanese in it I think that causes issues for some other doujins... Giving it a whirl now to see.
edit: nope, it doesn't like my computer either, even after messing with compatibility settings and applocale. It must just hate Windows 7?
