OK, I spent all this money on an XRGB-mini Framemeister, and the SCART cables that go with all the retro systems wired for RGB. Now, when I connect my Genesis to the Framemeister via the SCART/RGB path...everything looks beautiful. There's a bit of flickery jitter, but up the Sync Level a little and it vanishes. But then, when I hook up the Elgato (and it's the original HD Capture version, in case that matters) it all falls apart. I get a jittery picture that no amount of fiddling with the Sync Level will ameliorate, and switching the auto sync on and off affects nothing.
This is getting REALLY annoying. For years, there's always been some issue or another when recording Genesis games, even via emulator. Kega Fusion files can be screwy, and AVI files from Gens take FOREVER to process through some video editing programs. Just when I think it's all clear for the Genesis, this one last hurdle comes up. Any help would be appreciated.
Problem with Genesis, Framemeister and the Elgato together.

You need the boosted sync version of the RGB cable. If you have the original model Genesis, you have your choice of either:
A: SCART: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis-1- ... 259eabdca5
B: JP-21: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis-Me ... 2edc0a053a
Model 2 Genesis boosted sync SCART cable:

I went with the JP-21 cable since I have a personal preference for the JP-21 standard. The picture is rock-solid!
