AV7000 control box with a non-working P1 port

Post by brandon.arnold »

Hi all,

TLDR: Does anyone know if the Sigma products can have parts replaced by the manufacturer? My AV7000 control box has a problem with the P1 input on the board, and I'd like to have the board replaced.

I'm also open to selling this and getting a new control box, if there are people here who would be interested in it. I had this Sigma AV7000 among other things shipped over with rancor's help in January. This morning while playing, my girlfriend pulled the box off the shelf and it fell on its side onto the P1 input port. When the start pushbutton and joystick left weren't working, I opened the control box up and found a small fracture on the board that was affecting a couple of leads.

The case and power supply are like new, and the P2 port works fine; I'm playing games with it like this now, as player 2.

You should post some pictures of the board and put your location in your profile. Somebody who does pcb repairs might be able to fix this for you, depending on what the damage looks like.

Thanks, bud. I'll post a few and bump this in a couple of weeks when I'm back from vacation.
