I feel the same way about Nights and Panzer Dragoon. Finally buckled down and got them and the 3d controller a couple months ago. The funny thing is that the 3D controller was more expensive than both of them combined with shipping.

Tell me about it. Boxed, brand-new 3D controller and GameCube pad (longer cord, white for the Wii) were easily the most expensive gamepads I've bought. At least - thanks to an adapter - I can use the 3D controller with a number of Dreamcast games. Though I typically use the first DualShock as I find it more pleasing to hold.

I really like the Saturn 3d controller, I use it over the standard Saturn pad even for 2d games. I lucked out and got one for £4.39 plus postage. I didn't actually have a Saturn at the time, but I thought it was a bargain!

Yeah that's what I plan on doing. I prefer the ergonomics and look of the original GBA's and throwing an AGS-101 screen in it will make it perfect.
Many of times have my hands cramped up from the SP's, which is funny because that doesn't happen with my micro. I think it's the way the SP is square shaped, making me hold it awkwardly.

I've never really been able to get into any of the metroidvania games too much. I love classic castlevania, and I love Metroid but for me the metroidvania games aren't as good as either.

I don't have any particular GBC favourites, despite looking for them on/off... but it runs OG GB games just fine and I like several of those. Bionic Commando, Contra, Ninja Gaiden Shadow (really a portable Shadow of the Ninja spinoff) and both Nemeses are easy recommends for fans of those series. They totally hold up to, and in BC's case actually surpass their console counterparts.

Totsugeki! Ponkotsu Tank is a solid, gratifyingly destructive topdown tank shooter from HAL. Rubble Saver is honestly a bit of a mess, technically... but it's charmingly, inimitably weird and a deceptively solid run/gun if you can indulge its patchy performance.

Yeah CotM is good, though the beginning of the game is a bit drab, and it's a slow-burn up to when it starts getting better.

I love all the Castlevania's on the GBA, I feel that they're truer to SOTN than the DS releases. I really didn't like the level design of Dawn of Sorrow, and I found I ended up grinding a bit more in that game than mainly for the collection aspects. Gets me every time...

The Metroidvania's are great, but truthfully I like the classic linear style of the originals. CV3 is my all-time favourite, from both a platforming-action standpoint, to the level design character-switching-dependency. Plus it's aesthetically and aurally beautiful...

Would you actually be able to swing that medieval flail at full force several times without immediately whacking yourself in the face? Could you effectively fend off a would-be burglar in close quarters with that unwieldy and overlong flamberge, much less quickly lift if off the wall and assume a stance? Do any of these blades have any real function as tools (like a camping knife), and are they constructed to standards and with materials that ensure they can withstand the stresses of their intended use over prolonged periods? My educated guess to all of these is no.

The only thing missing is a Krull glaive, or maybe some lime green "zombie apocalypse survival" cutlery.

There is probably not very much room to wield any of these effectively in a small home no, but as far as their construction standards go there are only a handful of "cheapo" items here

Next on the list is a full suit of armour, I've a few pieces here and there but they're off the shelf and really poor fitting.
There is such a small selection of styles for someone who is just picking up a mass produced kit.

The thing that's been really stopping me doing this is that it's so expensive to have it made for you and even the really cheap armour you can get is still in the £2000/$5000 range, then all the hassle of measuring yourself and the wait times involved.

That is a quality haul. Two of the tinier ones stand out the most... Nemesis GB is deceptively superb, I'm damn glad I didn't pass up a copy earlier this year. Super Fantasy Zone is one of those arcade-quality home exclusives I had to have on its original format, despite it being in the PS2 Complete Collection.

Never noticed how well Kirby Deluxe camouflages itself on the right sort of floor.

No free Vita port for the physical copy choosers and 1.9 GB install is mandatory, but:
a) I think I paid less for it (shipping included) that PSN download would cost and
b) if it really pushes the system as far as they could go, no wonder it uses HDD heavily.

All in all, certainly better than the awful (also PAL-only) PS2 WipEout Pulse port.
I feel a fetishism-nearing temptation to get Full Auto 2 next, although there's no way I'm gonna play thoroughly all those vehicular games lying around in the forseeable future. I so like them cheap & easy to get into...

My golden trophies for beating Zelda 1 & 2 for the first time (via Everdrive) arrived in the mail.



I never owned/played these as a kid, and I don't really collect US games, but I couldn't resist the gold after enjoying these playthroughs. First game I've ever hand drawn (partial) maps for which was surprisingly satisfying.
