Hi,

I am an indie developer from Heidelberg in Germany.
Here is my first FREE game called "SturmFront - The Mutant War". It is an classic action game like "Commando",
"Ikari Warriors" and "Shock Troopers" with some "Bullet Hell" elements.

Why is the trailer in slowmotion? Is the whole game in slowmotion?

I think the game is fast enough for a top down shooter and has an intense gameplay. You should try it.
And "Busenzuchtherrin" is one of the funniest names that has ever exist in a game like this.

I... am not sure that "SturmFront" is the wisest of name choices given how close it is to Stormfront (don't worry, the link is to the wikipedia article about it and not the actual website).

Sturmfront sounds quite good as a name. I'd stick to it no matter what.

Only People that I don´t want as my players. And i think there is nothing wrong about
to disgrace (or purge ) there "holy" names and "safe places".

A little explanation about the name: I wanted a military themed game name in German language that describes exactly the game mechanics.
And "SturmFront" describes exactly what is the game about: You make a "Storm" attack and you create while charging into the battlefield your own "Front" - because you are a "One-Man-Army".
I hope it makes sense for you.

@ captain: I am glad that you like the game, and for my first game - a 7/10 is quite good. About the control issues: What do you mean exactly.
maby i can fix them with an update so it would be really nice if you could explain this more in details.
I heard from some players they wish a 360 degree shooting with mouse and controller.

Well, from what I can see, you can't configure your controls.

You can only aim in eight directions, so the first thing you think is to disregard the mouse and go for the keyboard, yet it uses space and ctrl to fire.

Why not just have the guy fire all the time, arrows/wasd for moving/changing aim and another key to swap weapons?

So you try that, and decide to use the mouse after all, and then it just starts messing with you, since you aim right at the enemies with a -crosshair- but poor siegfried only follows your aim in the basic 8 directions.

A few notes/questions:

Is the alternate-fire mapping actually listed anywhere? I stumbled upon the flamethrower by accident.

Holy crap offscreen snipers have ludicrous detection range.

I think this looks pretty good, I'd keep the name too - give no consideration to that infamous website, doesn't deserve it.

Hi everybody,

let me explain some stuff in the controls:
There is not a fire button for the flamethrower listed in the config.
I also heard, that some players have problems with the controller - so I recommend only to use the Xbox 360 controller with standard config.

For the controller (only Xbox 360) the flamethrower is "LB" and "LT".
You shoot automatic while using the right stick and the left stick is obviously for walking.

The Keyboard only controls (this is how I play the game):
WASD = walking
Arrows = shoot
Shift = Flamethrower
(You can also use "Space" as flamethrower but it does not work well because there is a "key block".)

Mouse and Keyboard:
WASD = walking
Left click = shoot
Right click = flamethrower

For the new Version I try to improve the config stuff in the controls!

really cool to get feedback about the pacing in "SturmFront - The Mutant War".

This is really important for me to improve the game and my developing style!
