Whoops. Forgot about them

Seriously though, Eagle would be dope.

At this point they could release another sequel to the SF3 series with more characters, a rebalance, sprites and similar mechanics.
I think people would go nuts for it.
My dream SF game is basically 4's roster with 3S's graphics/art/animation/meter and super turbos awesomeness.
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

I don't think SF5 looks as bad as Trap says [those two screenshots he pulled are particularly bad though, look at those fucking faces man] or anywhere approaching the best looking 3D rendered fighter on the market [which would be Xrd].

it already looks nicer than SF4, but that's not hard in the slightest

There, now it's on the right thread.
This is the last thing I expected to hear, ever.

I love Breakers Revenge. Dumb as fuck at times [hi, Sho], but a ton of fun.
Of course, I wonder how many people love the game enough to drop 348 EUR on it, although it's apparently it's a little hard to find even in MVS format right now.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

This is cool. It'd be interesting if they did a Hard Corps: Uprising take on Double Dragon or River City Ransom.

Better yet, they should have bought the rights to Contra.

In an ideal world Arc Sys would make a spiritual sequel to their Hokuto No Ken fighting game using the Double Dragon setting. It would be crazy.

~ Shmups forum ~
Why am I not surprised edition.

I.. don't even know guys
This is like super-stylized 3D instead of boring ass realistic 3D. They almost look like super high-res 2D.
And for those who say it looks like SFIV, you need a new pair of glasses.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnBzIi5nchE
The artstyle is completely different. Literally the only same-looking thing here are the character designs and the game being 3D.

Look at this beauty
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d15zOsNL8l0

Feel free to show me better looking stuff though. I'm really curious, if you think that this looks bad
Style > realism. Why are the Japs the only developers who get it.
Is this more like your thing, guys?
Is this forum literally filled with fathers stuck in the 80s idea of 'good looking'?

So apparently some German publication spilled the beans and revealed that Cammy and Birdie are in the game.

Also the "Guilty Gear Xrd looks good" is probably my least favorite meme, as it looks like garbage in motion. Despite the game running in a 3D engine, they couldn't bother adding more frames to the animations.
but it's supposed to look like an anime!
Why don't more developers use that excuse. It seems pretty effective

Definitely looks better that way.

Xrd looks a bit less impressive in person iirc, but it still looks damn good.

SFIV never really looked 'good', it was just a style that sort of blended eastern and western design attributes to a functional effect.

V looks largely similar to me.

There's a perfectly valid argument for DOA looking superior in some ways, but I'd much rather play SFIV.

The muscles look ugly and plastic in the new SFV footage - in that fight you linked earlier look at the guys arms during his victory pose at the end. It's high quality but ugly.

DOA5 LR isn't just high quality, it's also attractive.

Glad to see that Technos' IPs are finally out of Million's grubby paws. They were notorious for whoring out Double Dragon with no oversight to absolutely anyone who handed them enough cash, which enabled projects like the abysmal Chinese-developed X360 remake of DDII and WayForward's comparably awful DD Neon.

Meanwhile, Evoga was unable to secure the Double Dragon license for Rage of the Dragons, a game that actually deserved it.

I can't even tell whether Birdie's gone back to being a white guy in that lighting. Maybe he caught the skin-lightening disease referenced in his Zero 3 win quote again.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Confirmed to be Battle Fantasia by people who analyzed the image.

Don't expect a PC version of Xrd for years, and even then it's going to be one iteration behind.
