True, but then Agetec would change the name and the cover art and then there would be more interminable rants on here about how blasphemous changing such things is.Neo Rasa wrote:This seems like something we could all yell at Agetec to put out and will end up coming out here like two or three years from now for $20.
This is why, at least for the PS2, Raiden III and Gigawing Generations would make the most sense as shmup ports near the end of the console's life-span. Both series have name recognition here in the US; on the other hand, most Americans (myself included) probably couldn't even pronounce Mushihimesama!
At any rate, those screens do look nice-if this port sells well, perhaps we will see most, if not all, future Naomi ports on the 360!

They'd probably rename Mushihimesama "Insect Princess" if it was brought to the states.... kinda like how Shikigami No Shiro 2 is "Castle Shikigami 2".....dave4shmups wrote:

I was thinking more someone who runs one of those big Sega fansites or whatever. You know... someone who could get the word out past IGN, Neo-geo.com, and shmups.com.

Won't happen. Agetec USA is already in a precipitous situation due to sluggish sales in niche genres (notice that Agetec hasn't localized a shooter in ages); Cave's hefty commission fees would push them over the edge. Do you really want that to happen?Neo Rasa wrote:This seems like something we could all yell at Agetec to put out and will end up coming out here like two or three years from now for $20.

Now that you mention it, they'd have to American size her rack and bump her age up a bit... man, would Lieberman have a conniption fit if there was ever an underage, pantiless lead character in a game...BulletMagnet wrote:Nah, they'd probably just call it "Anime Girl Not Wearing Panties. What about XS Games? I've read at least one post on this forum about how "poor" they are, but then what the heck are they doing in Fairfield, CN; one of the wealthiest cities on the East Coast??Ganelon wrote:Won't happen. @Acid King; yeah, 'ya just gotta love a Government that engages in sleazy practices and draggs us into violent conflicts that gripes about sex and violence in video games.

According to Magic Box, Senko no Ronde will be online! "G-Rev mentioned that its Xbox 360 shooter Senko no Ronde is currently 40% completed, the game will have online battle over Xbox Live, and the release date is sometimes in spring 2006." http://www.the-magicbox.com/gaming.htm

Are there really going to be too many 360 games that are Japan exclusive? I would think that since there are so few 360 games in Japan to begin with Microsoft would just localize this game just to add another game to its stateside arsenal.
The game is not 2-D or not graphically unimpressive so I wouldn't see any reason not to localize it. It does have Guns and explosions that should make people happy here.

Simply say "NO" to the Micronazis. Saying "I didn't know" won't be a valid excuse this time.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooook.
gh3ystation poo, lollerz!
That makes no sense. It's a multiplayer game. Xbox live would make the most of that.Yeah, this is a game I was hoping would receive a DC release. Suppose this will spark a bunch of "Deadcast" type moronic responses.
Deadcast is not the holy saviour everyone makes it out to be, especially after 3rd strike got better ports elsewhere. I'd still put it in the must-own category, though. There are 6 or so good games, and Under Defeat soon.

Last time I checked, the Dreamcast had 4 controller ports, so what I said obviously makes sense. Clearly I didn't expect people to play on the dialup modem. Anyway, Senko no Ronde would run great on the Dreamcast. First time I heard the term "Deadcast" it sort of irritated me, because it reminds me of how people tend to jump on the bandwagon. Glad to see the game getting a home port anyway. It should look great on the 360.Neon wrote:That makes no sense. It's a multiplayer game. Xbox live would make the most of that.

Agreed. Fanboyism and anti-fanboyism...argh.jp wrote:Wow... this thread got real stupid... real fast.
There's an obvious distinction between playing with friends and playing online. Do you have 3 friends at your house 24 hours a day, who all want to play the game at the same time as you do? I've tried to explain shooting games to mine, with minimal success, even the intelligent ones. Come on now.Last time I checked, the Dreamcast had 4 controller ports, so what I said obviously makes sense.
The game will be better on Xbox 360 than it ever could on Dreamcast. Not my opinion - fact.

My point is: the game "could've" been done on both the Dreamcast, and 360. That wouldn't have hurt anyone. Not everyone's going to rush out, and buy a 360 to play Senko no Ronde. A lot of us have Dreamcasts. I'd rather not post about this anymore, since I don't want to turn this into a Dreamcast thread. For the record: it's not like Senko no Ronde's a capture the flag, or fortress based FPS. You only need one other person for multiplayer. I think most of us have at least *one* person they know to play the game with. Also, it's not "fanboyism", as you call it, but rather common sense. The game was basically made to run on Dreamcast hardware... Look up the specs of NAOMI sometime.
