It's unlikely that the Mini supports PAL composite video signals.

Re: Help please, wii via composite XRGB MINI piture black an
Hi thanks for the reply, iv managed to get it in colour. But I have to select 546i 50hz in the wii menu.. Problem with composite tho and having to do that, any game that supports 60hz doesn't work and just get a black screen...
I'm hoping this problem will be solved when my rgb scart comes in a few days ? How would I connect component cables to the xrgb mini if I still have issues ?

I think it does handle real PAL, but you're probably getting something like PAL60 from your system.
definitely.I'm hoping this problem will be solved when my rgb scart comes in a few days ?

It does accept PAL, but feeding it with PAL60 results in a black&white or completely frozen image.BuckoA51 wrote:It's unlikely that the Mini supports PAL composite video signals.

In this mode your Wii is set to NTSC and RGB is disabled in favor of component and s-video.

Confused. . ?
So my soft modded PAL wii running NTSC GameCube games wont support RGB using Xrgb MINI... So I would need to connect the wii to XRGB MINI via component in order for ntsc games to work correctly.. No other way round it.?

If you're after playing Wii titles you want the component cables anyway, otherwise you're limited to 480i resolution.

Re: Help please, wii via composite XRGB MINI piture black an
So I need to either buy a wii d-terminal lead and connect that to the XRGB MINI or a component to D-terminal adapter ?
Question will a d-terminal lead work on a pal wii connected to the XRGB mini... If yes I'll just buy one of those as I want the best piture possible and using the XRGB mini will give me this..?

There is an easy way arround this:Stephen g wrote:Confused. . ?

Since you have a soft modded Wii anyway, just use a Loader of your choice (GeckoOS, USBloaderGX, neogamma...) and force your games to run at PAL60 or MPAL or PAL480i, whatever your choice is respectively. This question has been discussed here several times and it's definitely possible to play NTSC games over an RGB scart cable via this method.

Sorry i have looked, but how do i set wii to 480p output over rgb into the mini then ? option is greyed out. Only component offers this. Gamecube games (well most ntsc versions) support pro scan option, if i use rgb scart into mini, the ntsc game screen is red and the option of pro scan isnt avalible no matter what option i use ?12345 wrote:There is an easy way arround this:Stephen g wrote:Confused. . ?

As you said yourself, 480p progressive scan is only possible with component out. If you are satisfied with 480i you can use method I described in my last post with your scart cable.Stephen g wrote:Gamecube games (well most ntsc versions) support pro scan option, if i use rgb scart into mini, the ntsc game screen is red and the option of pro scan isnt avalible no matter what option i use ?
If you have a D-terminal component cable, originally only sold in the Japan, then yes. If you want to use a YUV-component cable (cinch) you need a component-to-D-terminal adapter cable, sold on Amazon.jp, solarisjapan and sometimes on ebay.Stephen g wrote:Sorry if im being thick, but the D-terminal lead will plug intop the D-5 port on the XRGB MINI or do i need another adapter ?
