Framemeister not outputting an image through output on PVM

Hey guys,

I have a sony PVM-14M2MDU and this has outputs on it.

However, I'm having a hard time trying to get the framemeister to recognize the signal from the output of the PVM. I've tried messing with the sync modes to no avail.

I'm using the framemeister for capture to the elgato (which recognizes it fine because I see the "NO_INPUT" message).

What are my solutions? Or am I SOL?

I'm in the same boat. PVM-2053MD and Framemeister.

Are you outputting into a scart, d-pin or composite?

I would guess bnc to scart would be your best bet. Do you have a sync stripper euro scart to xrgb mini cord? If not I would get one

Make sure it is on rgb on your remote.

Lastly I would try turning the pvm off until I had my xrgb powered on and ready to go to force a input signal.

Okay, update. I'm starting to think the RGB output on the PVM does not work (either that or the male BNC2scart adaptor that I have hooked up to the output is a pile of junk). I've tried my Scart2Component box and that's also no dice.

I've seen RGB distribution amps on ebay, have you guys had any luck getting those to work (currently looking at an Extron amp)?

The problem is most likely with the pinout of the BNC to SCART adapter. Maybe it is made for signal input, not output, on the SCART side. I believe the pinouts differ in each case.

Provide a picture of the cable.

Check if it's wired for the right direction. The sync BNC wire has to be connected to Pin 20 of the Scart header to make it run from BNC to Euro-Scart.

Hmm, okay...

I checked, and I indeed see nothing connected to that pin.

Now here comes the big question, how will I know which wire is the sync wire? Sadly I don't have a multimeter, tho the grey wire may be it(?)

Just move the grey cable with yellow head on pin 19 over to pin 20 and you should be good to go.
