Is any version of Four Swords good for only 2 player?

Also, does the PAL 'Cube version output 60 Hz (in case it doesn't, is it 50 Hz-optimised)?

While I'm at the latter, would any of you happen to know how's Pac-Man Vs. PAL? Whether it's always a separate disc, 60 Hz or not, fullscreen, full speed or not?

Not entirely certain what you mean by "good for only 2 player", but 2 Player with my sister is the only way I've ever played GC Four Swords and we had a pretty good time.

I don't know anything about PAL, though. Does this answer your question?

That's a pretty valuable answer.

In this case it does. Right off the top of my head, Lost Kingdoms 1 and Super Monkey Ball 1 do 60 Hz too.

I played Game Cube 4 Swords with only my Dad way back and it was super fun.

The original GBA Four Swords (included on the updated port of Link to the Past) is damn short, and can't be played solo. I powered through it with a friend some years ago to unlock the bonus dungeon in LTTP; it was really breezy.

Dungeons are randomly created every playthrough by piecing together rooms from a large pool of templates, though, so your mileage may vary.

Short & easy doesn't sound bad right now.
