could anyone explain what type of material they're using to form those peices?
is that blue stuff he starts with a plastic or some kind of foam, and is he layering it to build depth or actually bending it?
i guess a lot of the rest is done cutting plastic using some type of cnc/lathe machine

Not too sure how he turns those 3D models into real plastic parts, via what seems to be a mould made of Lego?
Damn smart though. I'm very, very impressed.
I'd swear that 6 legged jobbie with the big gun halfway down the page is one of the Gun Platfroms from the Appleseed manga (vol2, iirc)/original movie. And that 'Gamecube gal' is pretty cool too.

lego is great for making RTV mould boxes - I use them a lot.
you create a mould using clay and the model, then pour silicone rubber over the object, remove the clay and do the same for the other side.
this makes a silicone mould, this is then filled with resin to create a copy..

the other parts look like theyve come from a 3D prototyping machine, this is usually mad expensive...
he knows his shit for sure..

Beautiful model.
My only gripe is the cockpit. I understand it being taken from the original artwork on the cover of DOJ, but the sky reflecting on it looks weird as a stand alone model.
Awesome molding talent at any rate.
