About the details of Darius

Post by DKA_Darius »

Resently,I play Darius I everyday for my country Shmup tournament
The game of this stage is Darius I
One of my friend send me a report,it shows that Japanese player can get about 9.000.000 from ZONE-A to ZONE-Z(G.T) and 6.000.000 from ZONE-A to ZONE-X
I can't image how can get such high scores, this game is very easy,I can get about 5.000.000 from ZONE-A to ZONE-X

①One of strategy about getting high score is commit suicide in final ZONE,this means you can destroy the part of boss more than once(MAX 5 times)

②Another strategy is the White Ball, and I think the score of White Ball is fixed but I don't know how to get 51200 everytime

I only know these two strategys, but it is not enough to get real high score

The white balls are completely random actually. As for the X course 6 million, that seems high to me. 5.5 million is pretty doable though if you don't miss many enemy waves and you checkpoint milk Octopus-X.

I forget the exact route the Japanese players take for the Z score but I know it isn't Z'. The majority of the score comes from milking GT's drills and dolphins for very very long periods of time without killing the boss, and then suicide to checkpoint milk. It's extremely difficult though, there are probably only a handful of players who can actually pull it off. 5.5 million via X is probably the easiest to shoot for if you are low on time for the tournament. Without the GT milking Z actually only gives about 4 mil naturally, so it's not worth learning unless you have literally months to perfect it.

I'm arriving on the 30th and leaving on the morning of the 3rd of May.

I have no idea if there will be beer drinking after the meet, so I gave myself 24 hours recovery time just in-case.

See you then!

According to my research, I find that the score of white balls may be manageable. When the white balls are brightest, the score are highest, just like the gold bar of strikes 1945

In addition, the way which get the white balls is completely fixed, the scores is also completely fixed

If this is true, this changes everything......

I'm off to investigate.

I've spent quite a bit of time trying different strategies to get consistent orb payouts and nothing has ever worked. I also thought for a while it had to do with the flashes, but if you use savestates you'll see that it isn't consistent. I've had the opportunity to watch a few world record tier scoring runs in the arcades here, and the Japanese players just take the orbs and whatever payout it gives, so I really do think it's random.
