Let's talk Anti-gravity

Post by JBC »

My ultimate dream is to have a personal anti-gravity unit. I would fly everywhere, all the time, Space Harrier style.

If you were to invent it could you keep it to yourself?

On one hand you would be the most special person on the planet - the one who can fly. On the other, how could you be so selfish as to deny that of everyone else?

This is not to mention the sheer amount of ways the technology could be used to accelerate human progress & improve the quality of life on Earth.

As well, what are your ideas on how anti-gravity could be accomplished?

Gravity is the force we understand the absolute least, so I think super intelligent machines would have to be created to make any traction on that front.

WaitButWhy wrote a recent article about that.

I'd build my own 'AG Pussy Craft' and steal the hottest chicks at the Frankfurt Motor Show, leaving those billionaires weeping in their lame-o Bugattis.

I'd build a floating throne of PCBs. I'd hover around in it with no particular aim in mind, periodically stopping near groups of people, saying "fuck y'all", and moving along.

In a British accent that probably sounds like this

It sounds like a good plan though!

Flying is overrated. Give me instant teleportation. Ultimate freedom right there.

...until you turn into Ruldrafly.
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

Gravity is constantly intimidating & antagonizing me. On a few occasions gravity has knocked me unconscious when I wasn't expecting it. Sometimes it drops bird shit or nuts on my head. I'm not a fan.

Strange this topic has come up because recently i've been reading a book about Anti-Gravity.

It's really hard to put down.
The universe is neither hostile nor friendly, simply indifferent.

Its a magic trick, and you will all get fat using a suit.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
