Ah yes, so it was you who had the PCB pack ins that I was drooling over last year?Icarus wrote:You should see that image as a B1 size poster. The thing is amazing in huge format. It's a shame I cannot find anywhere to make a frame for it ;_; (That and my Great Mahou B1 poster...)Dylan1CC wrote:That is nice, very arty. I love the melodramatic "tragic" poses and facial expressions of the girls. I remember being jealous when someone who bought the PCB had this pic as one of the flyer/marquee art pack ins.
I think Ord's review of Ibara has that artwork without logos and stuff, in 768x1024-ish size. It's not high-res enough to make a poster print from, but it makes nice desktop wallpaper ^_^

Yeah, I have the whole kit, straight from YAJ for 140,000Y. I wasn't the one that posted the first pics of the kit, though ^_-

And my kit (the poster is rolled up in a tube, awaiting a frame):

(Beside that, they want to take over Edelweiss republic, or whatnot).

Least I'm not the only one not taking Ibara seriously, eh Rando?
I wonder if anyone would bother doing a translation of what's being said/displayed...
In any event, one bit of (possible) interesting info seems to have been revealed about the figures: if the Mushi figure "guest star" is an accurate comparison piece, then it would appear that the Ibara figures are around the same size...I don't own the Mushi figure myself, but IIRC it's bigger than "Gashapon size," as was suggested earlier.

A matriarchal family of sadomaso women wants to conquer some pseudo-republic and is fought by someone with a cybernetic eye and a bad hair cut, and another guy piloting a plane bare-chested.BulletMagnet wrote:Least I'm not the only one not taking Ibara seriously, eh Rando?I wonder if anyone would bother doing a translation of what's being said/displayed...

I long for the time when true men fight true enemies with true dresses, dammit!
...like Dangun Feveron or Gunbird, of course
Beside that, once the "omg rank is insane" debate will ensue (and it WILL ensue), everyone will take the game too seriously, i bet

I actually meant the dialogue/text in the commercial linked in the above post, sorry if I was unclear.GaijinPunch wrote:I did one of the story.

Are they just giving away Professor Teresa figures with this OST or are they planning to release the Rose Sisters figures as well, in one big bundle? Or is this a "random selection in every box" thing?undamned wrote:More detailed Ibara OST figure pics:

Still a little confused as to how they can accomodate all the figures for this promotion. Teresa does look kinda nice though, but give me Lace and Kasumi....
(You going to give Teresa pride of place in your collection, Rando? ^_- [referring to our conversation in this thread])
Whether or not they fiddle with the rank system itself for Arranged Mode, or keep it intact and true to the arcade version remains to be seen.BulletMagnet wrote:In any case, the "rank-o-meter" addition in the practice/arrange modes ought to quiet things down at least a little bit in that regard, since it puts the rank control aspect of the game right out in the open, making it easier to observe in action and thus a bit less intimidating.

My personal guess would be that they leave it as is. If you recall Mushi's "arrange" mode, it was easier, not because they messed with the "core" difficulty level, but rather simply gave you more weapons to tackle it with (and an auto-bomb). From what we've gathered so far as far as Ibara's "arrange" mode is concerned, you get a) the ability to switch between weapons at will, a la Mushi, b) the ability to slow yourself down/condense your shot, a la the DonPachis, and c) the rank-o-meter. Perhaps the game gives you a full set of weapon "options" from the start, similar to Mushi's (though afaik there's been no word of giving you more than the "normal" max amount), but I'd guess that they don't mess with the core rank system aside from the meter display (if that even counts).Icarus wrote:Whether or not they fiddle with the rank system itself for Arranged Mode, or keep it intact and true to the arcade version remains to be seen.

According to the text, it seems that the only figure included with the set is Teresa Rose. And in the video she's the same size as the Mushi OST's bonus figure, so including more than one figure with the Ibara OST would be out of the question. I'm now wondering why they've been showing figures of all the rest of the girls. Maybe they plan to market them separately?Icarus wrote:Are they just giving away Professor Teresa figures with this OST or are they planning to release the Rose Sisters figures as well, in one big bundle? Cave needs to ease up on the freak-ay girls.
The more I think about it, they are starting to get into raunchy Psikyo territory (the loli stunt they pulled with the Mushi OST figure still leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth) Oh, and I'll say it again, the fact "Dyne" in Ibara 2 looks like dame Edna is enough to make me pass on that one. I am NOT a Cho Aniki/GTaste man.

Getting there?! I think they've pretty much surpassed Psikyo at this point! Close up crotch shots of the four slutsketeers every time you beat a stage; ridiculous. Cave doesn't need to put crap like this into their games, they've got enough fans already.Dylan1CC wrote:Cave needs to ease up on the freak-ay girls. Arranged tracks ?
Hell Yeah !! This gets sweeter & sweeter !
I'm guessing it will be close to an hour of music or more given the amount of stage tracks. Something tells me I'm going to be really pleased with this one ! Go Hosoe ! ^^
