They also have MAMEUIFX and normal MAMEUI builds, if those are your preference.

Ha, I see the thread was deleted. For those who missed a 1-post account named Bicycle Repairman posted verbatim the one line and a bunch of 240x320 screenshots of DFKBL.
Reeks of elitist hoax to me - the images certainly didn't look like fake and Haze did say at one point someone had DFKBL dumped back when cv1k.c was kept behind closed doors. Doors which this and other stuff like accurate slowdown+dynarec in Demul is still closed to the public.

Doors of the VIP backroom closed for comfort and privacy. *caution: nsfw!*

What Blitter now be used? For DFK, Futari, etc...
I started playing without Blitter option, it is perfectly playable. MAMEUIFX64 0.160 here...

What's the difference between an elitist hoax, and a regular hoax?BPzeBanshee wrote:Ha, I see the thread was deleted. For those who missed a 1-post account named Bicycle Repairman posted verbatim the one line and a bunch of 240x320 screenshots of DFKBL.

Bullshit is bullshit is bullshit. Perhaps my choice of words isn't too crash hot but I think the difference between someone teasing something they have and nobody else does and being snide about it, versus someone mocking up a few screenshots of something nobody has in the first place like the DFK in MAME joke done by a member here years ago, should be pretty obvious.
Not just you I'm talking about here. Granted I didn't know the blitter handling is precisely that featured in MAME also.......since public Demul releases have no CV1000 support I wouldn't know.xMetalliCx wrote:wtf are you talking about ? We all know PCBs go bad. If it's not being dumped, it's not being preserved.trap15 wrote:"Waaah why can I not steal software that you guys bought to preserve"
Re: too close for comfort - black label
It has been dumped. The screens are proof enough. BPze is whining about it not being public.

Ah, I had figured the screens were faked using a capture device on a supergun or cab setup.trap15 wrote:It has been dumped. The screens are proof enough. BPze is whining about it not being public.

Re: too close for comfort - black label
To be quite clear, I disagree with the idea that "not being public", in other words "private preservation" if you will = keeping things within a secret gentlemen's club and promoting it for the purposes of inflating your ego. Sorry, preserving games != April Fool's Jokes and dickstroking boys clubs.trap15 wrote:It has been dumped. The screens are proof enough. BPze is whining about it not being public.
Re: too close for comfort - black label
anyone sane would privately dump a board and sit on it until the time is right. from what i understand, this is why the situation in japan is so terrifying; a lot of things are locked up in a vault and normally never dumped.

It's not inflating egos it's inflating laughter.
Re: too close for comfort - black label
The DFKBL roms were just officially released to the dumping union by the way, so have a little patience and it'll appear in MAME in due course.

This is not the place to ask.pbsk8 wrote:Is there a download link for the rom since it was indeed released officially?
In any case, the ROM has only been dumped, it has not been released yet.

Um no hoarded roms don't get added to mame.
Re: too close for comfort - black label
The rom file got too close for comfort
Re: too close for comfort - black label
So close people who bother can already press '&' and '('.

Re: too close for comfort - black label
Even if a rom gets dumped, its chances of being preserved are far slimmer unless it goes public. If it's public, there can be 1000s of regularly replicated backups spread across the world, instead of 3 sitting in some guy's basement that could all easily be eradicated by a single flood or house fire.

Don't be afraid : at this time it's publicPretas wrote:Even if a rom gets dumped, its chances of being preserved are far slimmer unless it goes public. Re: too close for comfort - black label
By the way if anyone else posts asking for the ROM, I'm going to ban them immediately for a month, on the basis of their not being able to read one of the oldest existing forum rules.

Re: too close for comfort - black label
Okay I was asking for RUM as a light joke but looks like you can't take any.
Please add: "and no jokes I've had a bad and like totally no sense of humor" to your post.
