Here's the deal:

Everytime I click an address from the address bar, it launches a new tab. This annoys me to no end. I want to disable it. (I don't how to, even though I did this same thing tonite. I can't remember shit.) I know I have to go into options, click tab browsing. But which one of the tabs has one of the option to disable this? Because it gets really freaking annoying.

I had a similar issue. Try installing the Tab Mix Plus extension. It exposes a lot of hidden tab functionality. I forget if this particular problem was solved through TMP, but it's an essential extension for other reasons anyway.

If you're really really stuck, try the official Firefox forums. They will tell you exactly which variable to change in about:config (type that in your URL field). You may be able to go in there now and guess which variable you want. The search box lets you narrow it down by word. Try putting in "tab" to start.
