Twinkle Soft games

Post by black mariah »

Does anyone have any idea where I can pick up Twinkle Soft's games? I have Rally Raid but haven't been able to track down Barrage Tribe or Excess Fraction.

You can buy Excess Fraction from Vector Soft on-line. Here's a link to D/L the shareware file:
http://www.vector.co.jp/games/soft/win9 ... 43505.html

Barrage Tribe never saw a shareware version though.

i own Rally Raid and Excess Fraction (bought them at Vector.co.jp), never seen the full retail version of barrage tribes ... nor steel heart ... and since the company was closed (so i think) i cannot track them down.

Steal Heart was actually a free mini-game (a 2-stage time-attack). It innitially came with the CD version of Excess Fraction as an omake.

I can try to upload it somewhere if someone is willing to give me some space to do so.

Himeya Soft did carry all three CD versions of Twinkle Soft's games. However, given that the company has folded and Doujin Shmups normally aren't given large print-runs, you're really going to have to search to find a legit copy of Barrage Tribe.

And how about an illegit copy? I don't think Himeya carries Twinkle Soft's games anymore. I didn't see them on their website.

BTW, there was a demo version of Barrage Tribe released. That's how I played it before. I had it on one of the computers around here, but that along with Steel Heart and my full version of Rally Raid were lost in a crash.

The short version: 2 of their games are for sale on Vector. Go buy them. The rest of their games are gone. You will not find them for sale anywhere unless you go looking for used copies on Yahoo.jp auctions or somewhere similar. Downloading pirated copies is also hard since the games aren't well known at all. Even if we did know where to do so, we wouldn't post it here. These are family-friendly forums

I'm definitely picking up the ones they have. 1,155 JPY is what, $10 or so? Too cheap to pass up, anyway.

But that still leaves Barrage Tribe. *HITS HEAD ON WALL*

Yeah, 1 yen is approximately one US cent. I bought the two games they have up on Vector and I'm very glad I did - both are well worth it.
