like a good story, I will summarize what happended last weekend.
I was browsing my local craiglist and I sow a posting listing, which is 30mis away from where I reside.
the listing was…
Sony BVM-20F1U (20") - 2 of them
Sony PVM-20L5 (20") - 1 of them
NEC XP29 plus (27") - 1 of them
Mitsubishi XC-2930C (27") - 1 of them
Well Gardner D9800 (27") brand new in box - 1 of them
Then I sow when the listing was posted.. 2 days ago.. I panic and was like noooooooooooooo, someone else might have gotten them..nooooo. I sent the poster an email asking if the monitors were avaible and with my cell number. I waited and no reply. I got desparate and sent another e-mail saying that I was local and can pick up the 27" monitors any time.. again, I added my cell number. The person from craiglist replied with his phone number and to call him. I called him up… wasted no time at all. The monitors were still availble and I was like great. We had a small conversation where I informed the person tha I wanted the 27" monitors, that I was a shmups member and have read all the articles etc and that I know what RGB is and the monitors capabilities. We desided to meet on Sunday. I and my bother in law arrived at his place at 7:10pm.. We left with the NEC and Mitsubishi monitors at 9:30pm plus.
I asked the person if I could write about my experience at the shmups forum. He said sure.. I am also a member. I wish that I can find the correct words to describe what I saw (so many toys) and what we talked about from 7:10 - 9:30pm. We talked about retro gaming, what we like in the video gaming industry, what we do not like in the current industry. What we like paying etc.. it was a great conversation. My brother in law is not into retrogaming so he as like, what is going on in here? I explained that when I saw Mario\Megaman on the BVM, I almost cry.. But from the entire experience..What I do not get is how can there be people like him in my area and we have not build a comunity or maybe I do not know if there is a current RGB/retrogaming community in the area. As soon as I got home, I emailed V(the person that moddd my Famicom which I highly recommend) and let him know about the local listing becasue the last time we spoke he was looking for a 20Ls. If anyone is in the area and reading this post please pick up those monitors.. I recomend the seller 110%.
I will end up by saying that the Mitsubishi XC-2930C (27") and MAME is the most impressive thing that I have ever seen. The Mitsubishi monitor is simply amazing for MAME and I can say that I finaly got my MAME back. Yes… Biggeer is better.. right ladies?, the 20" BVM are good for MAME but the Mitsubishi is Fantastic for MAME and you only need a normal VGA cable from the Arcade VGA to the Misubishi using the RGB VGA addapter on the Mitsubishi. I was only able to test drive this baby from about 30mis because I was just testing things out. I look forward to fully test and set them up this weekend. What can I say… I am one happy Papi:)

Congrats on your sweet score! Just keep in mind you will need a LM1881 sync stripper in your Scart to BNC cable or your image wont sync
If you want a local community START ONE! It's SUPER EASY with facebook. Just start a local retro gaming group that's easy to find and just start finding cool members. Key is to restrict sales to only retro stuff otherwise you'll just get a flood of people selling shit. I wouldn't be surprised if there was already a decent one. I started mine a year ago and sent invites to all the forum peeps I knew were from the area and now we have regular game nights at bars and peoples houses.

Isn't the sync stripper only needed for the NEC? Shouldn't be necessary with the Mits or the Sony devices.

Nice find. I was in LA last week and there were so many rgb monitors in that area but i didnt manage to get anything aside from my BVM 20d1u which i had already paid for already. I do plan to go back eventually for more.

Everything is in great shape, low hours and no issues.

@Elabit.. thanks and thank you for the advice I have a scart with an LM1881 on the way
@gamefan71… thank you very much for the monitors.. I only had the chance to play with the Mitsubishi and it is fantastic for mame but I would not recomend it for the consoles NES, etc. It seems that the monitor is more like an arcade type or desined for arcade games and MAME. so Far the BVM BVM-20F1U is the better one for consoles (NES) or maybe I am doing someting wrong:)
@not sure who it was...
Thank you for the advice regarding starting a club. I lived in Tampa FL for over a year.. people there are very nice and there is a strong arcade community. I have a friend in Plant City with 9 kids now:) and he loves Arcade machines. When I was in Tampa in 2005, i was looking for help (to mount a trackball and to work on my second cab control panel) with my two MAME arcade cabs and he offered to help me out at zero cost and out of no where. He did not know me and we had not meet. I love Tampa Florida and once I retire, I will probably die there:)
