I went to my local Gamecrazy store yesterday (1/12/06) and was browsing around and spotted a brand new "Black" colored Hori Gameboy Player controller for the Gamecube console. This was the USA version of the famed Hori Digital Controller for the Gamecube platform. I inquired as to the price of this rare item and was told that it was priced at $14.99 but now reduced to a mere $9.99 for the taking. Of course, I bought it naturally...it works like a charm on the Gamecube shmup titles of Ikaruga and Chaos Field Expanded.
For those of our fellow international shmuppers not located in the USA, Gamecrazy is a video game store located right next to a video rental store called Hollywood Video. Gamecrazy sells both new & used video games & consoles.

Craziness! They'd never even seen that controller when I brought mine in to the manager! (Got mine from NCSX.) Glad you got such a good deal on it, though! 
I didn't know ANY places in the US were selling it. It's not even available from the online store at www.nintendo.com !
