Haha, it's not quite the same as I've no hopes of placing well in URA.
I was so annoyed by Gun Hohki that if I hadn't cleared it I was gonna just submit nothing...
Finished Trizeal. It is not that bad if you take things out in the right order. However, if you die in the wrong place or don't attack the bosses in the right places, things can get very annoying. Great game with nice music.
Bakraid boss rush, NMNB'd the last boss which gives you a decent 300k instead of just 30k, it's pretty much the only thing you can try to do with Vampire besides staying alive but it's usually not in the cards with the rank you have at that point

I cleared Battle Barkaid Normal course. Only 13 days after when I got the rom.
STGT's are evil and awesome.
1. Unusual Weaponry
2. Short Words
3. Blind(ing) Fire
I just cleared Aero Fighers (SNES) on "Super" (Hardest) difficulty. I went through all but my final life, which helps keep the rank down, especially in the later elvels. Not that I actually meant to die so many times though lol.
This game is extremely short but very brutal while it lasts, especially on this "secret" difficulty. Unfortunately the US version doesn't have a second loop like the Super Famicom Sonic Wings does. I'm prob going to import that version and try for a 2-ALL at some point in the near future.
I am in the last level of Layer Section. Just a little more to beat this thing. After this game, Im gonna take a shmup break and go back to adventure/rpg.
Got my first semi-blind 1CC ever with Wolflame on Normal difficulty!
(I say semi-blind because I had played the demo, and so I knew the first two stages [out of ten]).
Cool game; Hard is going to be a lot of fun. It's kinda the bastard child of old Toaplan and Raizing. Deviate made a guest appearance in the demo, and Bazzcock makes an appearance later; also, stage 9 is a pretty obvious tribute to Garegga stage 6. Some of the bullet patterns feel a bit Raizing as well; the bullet density ramps up a lot in the later stages, with a heavy emphasis on patterns (as opposed to just fast aimed shots), funky Batrider-style bullet shapes, and a lot of Mahou-esque homing bullets and even some environmental hazards in stage 8.
Amusing fact -- there seems to be no limit to how many bombs you can carry at once. At one point early (I think as I was entering stage 5), I was carrying 12 of them, and the GUI didn't do anything to indicate it wouldn't let me carry more.
Hahaha. I did the same thing yesterday too. Palm normal. You?
I guess were not novices anymore. We're mediocre now!:D
I have ADD lately with my games - I want to finish what I started with AK (I'm close), work on 360 original, and throw an occasional credit in novice ultra. That is a really fun mode.
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

Palm Abnormal. Yeah, I kinda know how you feel. I'm not really focused on anything specific, though I will try with UD, soon
I don’t think any game has ever held my attention for so long. Now that I have all characters out of the way I can go back to custom teams and try for the all boss clear

This one's been a long time coming. Very proud of this!!
I kept trying to beat this with Sinnosuke, thinking that his spread shot would make things more bearable. Turns out I just needed to switch to Stuck, I guess I was making things unnecessarily difficult.
Nice one, congrats! Stuck's the coolest-looking character too so you're not missing out on anything.
Also, really awesome job chempop!

Made it to Larsa in BL Original for the first time, after getting to the stage 4 boss for the first time on the run immediately prior. If I can avoid dying twice on the stage 3 boss (I no-missed stages 1, 2, and 4) and get used to the bullet speed in stage 5, I should be able to clear before too much longer.
Edit: No-missed the third boss twice in practice. I've started bombing the third phase as soon as it starts because that attack's just nuts. -.-
