I just played Blazing Lazers for the first time last night. At first it just seemed okay. The graphics seemed like NES with more colors and the first couple of stages are way too easy. But around stage 3 or 4 it really starts to pick up both graphically and in difficulty. I'm looking forward to putting more time into it.
Good game, although it can feel a bit tediously long at times. I can't remember how many levels there are, but the last couple are pretty difficult compared to the first few. Still, once you get the hang of it, it's all too easy to 1cc. Definitely has that classic feel that you just don't see in many games anymore.
We here shall not rest until we have made a drawing-room of your shaft, and if you do not all finally go down to your doom in patent-leather shoes, then you shall not go at all.
I like the game, but I rarely have so much time for one play-through. If you have the time, it can be quite fun--- and nice looking. Last time I played it, though, it jammed about 30 minutes into the game. Kinda pissed me off.
I've always liked it. Its one of the best concole shmups in exsistance.
It will always be a classic favorite, and will always remain in my personal Top Ten.

I'd say more like my top 15 or top 20, but otherwise I agree w/ Twitch. One of the top HuCards for the system, & a great game. As mentioned before, yeah, it's a bit long, but I think the difficulty curve is just right, the gameplay is balanced between slow parts & fast-paced blast-a-thons, & it has an interesting array of weaponry. A must-own for any shmup fan who owns a TG-16 or PCE.
its pretty decent. not technically part of the series, i know, but one of the soldier games is leagues better (problem is, i get confused between all three constantly).
a bit easy, and gets tedious, but there are always higher difficulties to add interest.
