DoDonPachi DFK BL Strong needs to be updated. Though I'm not sure how much the topic needs updated.

Not sure if it's WR, but it's higher than the listed WR in this topic. Interestingly the run does not get Hibachi or Zatzusa, so maybe it's not worth fighting them? The video was already posted in Shmups chat, but I figured I'd mention it here just in case.

SYU- 1.560.120.638.222. - ALL EX - B - Autobomb OFF

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INodEcEta30

Also, what are the records for both Rafute and Ikuo in MMP? I'm just wondering how far off they are from the Momo scores.

In DFK BL Strong, beating Zatsuza is only worth 110 billion so suiciding for more hypers to increase the multipliers and cancel more bullets is worth more points. (Hibachi isn't really worth anything.)

Btw, my best score is higher than the western record listed here: 901,132,445,621 - Stage 5 Boss - B - Autobomb OFF

As for MMP, looking at here, the records are:

Rafute 1-loop 233,570,190
Rafute 2-loop 298,150,380
Ikuo 1-loop 250,999,330
Ikuo 2-loop 247,290,850

Futari 1.5 Maniac is such a great game. Glad to see TAC back on it as well.

It's also interesting to see that Follett score in DS. SPE (who streams on NND pretty often) has 549m without the EX stage on the 360 version (617m with it). I didn't realize that was higher than the WR. :o

I was in Tokyo last August and I saw TAC training again on Maniac (got some pictures of it) at Game-In Ebi-Sen, and very happy to see that he is still the king on it. When I saw him playing, he was really experimenting new routes than his previous WR on the Cave DVD, I was amazed of what I saw and at the same time disappointed to see him dying all the time. Now I know why :D

Congratulation TAC :D

Whoa, F/A.

Does anyone keep records for the Darius Extra and Gaiden Extra? I thought Darius Extra was supposed to be a better game than the original anyway.

Crazy chaining, I never knew that stage 5 chain could be carried forward that much.
Nice management of the enemies on 2-4, so many things shown in this run that I would have never thought of doing.

That replay is completely insane. It is in my opinion, the most impressive replay ever. There are so many things the player does that are mind blowing. The way some of the combos are set up and executed is just so complicated. Does anyone know who the player is who made it?

WOW

Yeah amazing, the counterstop was the icing on the cake, though the most amazing thing of all is that we've finally seen those techniques which have been shrouded in mystery for so long :o

CHIBARE = BGR-44

I remember a old site of BGR and I saved this photo from that site:

and now the same score from Dragon Saber is now available in this channel.

I would vote that the video is legit. The slowdown feels more like the PCB than mame to start off with, so I am guessing this was recorded from a PCB rather than mame. I could be wrong though as I haven't played donpachi in mame in a long time so maybe the emulation has been improved.

There are also several mistakes in the video. For example the player loses a lot of points on the 1-3 ship+plane combo because he doesn't kill the ship. He also misses points in the 1-5 large middle combo because he blows up the left square object early before he blows up the center and right objects. Those extra 6200 points aren't carried through the combo which adds up to a lot of points. He does the complete combo fine on 2-5 though. He also panic bombs twice on the TLB which he normally wouldn't do. He was probably beyond nervous at that point though. If you are going to TAS or cheat, why not re-record that part?

Finally all the dodging and strategy seems reasonable to me. He does everything you would expect a top player to do. He sets things up properly. TAS videos tend to use ridiculous micro-dodging that no human can do consistently and they also lack strategy. Having played donpachi for far too many hours, the video seemed reasonable to me.

I am also baffled about the BGR-44 controversy. They say he cheated on Xevious? Xevious? Most any random player can max out the score on that game, so why anyone would need to cheat on Xevious is beyond me.

According to some comments on his site he's "definitely not playing on the PCB" ("間違いなくPCBではない"). It was probably recorded in MAME.

NAL got the capacity bonus on 2-4 today with the B-ship in Donpachi: https://twitter.com/oss055055oss398/sta ... 3100624897

I think this is a new WR for the B-Ship but expect him to score much, much higher in the near future.

the improvement of TAC on Futari is so tiny, that it seems he reached the best level you can get on this game

Also, question :

DDP SDOJ
A-L Inbachi 1,224,537,165,005 KSG@最初で最後の申請

Is that mean the player died on Inbachi or it means he cleared the game killing Inbachi ?
