Looking for an S-video splitter box (suggestions please)
I'd like to hook up 4 s-video enabled consoles (Duo, Saturn, N64, GameCube) to a Sony Wega/Trinitron, only I have 1 s-video input on the CRT. As mentioned in the thread title, I am looking for an s-video selector type device where you can switch from console to console manually. Anybody here uses such a device? I have checked on ebay, amazon and whatnot, but I'd love to hear informated opinions on what to look out for. Thanks in advance.

This is on the canadian Best Buy site, but I own this one.

Works great.

I'm in Canada too.
Comes with an s-video cable (black/red/white inputs) to connect the switcher into the tv, right? --> really not "tech savvy" here, lol

Edit, re-read your reply, I'm an idiot.
It didn't come with extra cables but they aren't hard to find.

I use one similar to this:
http://www.showmecables.com/product/S-V ... aQod1YYAxg
This would allow you to hook up one game console and output to four sources. If you wanted to switch consoles, all you would have to do is swap out the cables that you're using on the input.
I don't know of any way to plug in four consoles at the same time and output to one monitor though.

I used to have one that was un-powered, and it was terrible. So my only suggestion is to do your research and make sure the quality is good. And be very careful about switches that don't use external power.
