Cave/Progear inspired Dojin - Tobi Tsukihime

Post by Dave_K. »

A very promising hori dojin shooter, released recently. Looks very cave/progear inspired to me, with the shape of bullets, manic patterns, converting to gems and then syphoning style gameplay...

Guess I should have read/translated the page more closely. Yes it seems the first trial was released in August, then updated the downloads around xmas, and now a mail order page (as of Jan 5th), so looks like its commercially available now.

I do have the demo on my comp someplace, so it DOES exist...I know Shoot the Core has (or at least had) a link for the demo, maybe it takes you directly to it...? Sorry, it's been awhile since I've been there.

lol I have the full version of it. Can't really play it, though. My computer's too retarded to handle the application >_>... I get like, 30~40 fps.

I like the special attack where you launch Ren (that black cat) either horizontally or vertically to pull off a combo

Dave_k pretty much nailed it, it is in fact very Cave like, esspecially Progear.
The game is pretty exellent from the visuals to the kickass soundtrack!( did I mention the kickass soundtrack  )
It is a bit on the easy side tho, I was playing on normal mode and 1CC the game on my 4th or 5th try... well there is always "Hell mode"

On the http://www.01step.net/tobitsuki/download/ page theres a link to tobi_demo_c69.zip, the movie (i think) and then below that is tobi_ver_00.zip (the demo game?) that you might have missed

I think this is the direct link, moderate as necessary http://www.01step.net/tobitsuki/tobi_ver_00.zip ...
the movie? one is http://www.01step.net/tobitsuki/tobi_demo_c69.zip

I think, but i haven't downloaded either so i don't know...
