The PS1 version of Namco's Cyber Sled predated the Analog Controller/DualShock, but it lets you roughly duplicate the arcade twinsticks by mapping the second set of directionals to the face buttons. BTW, the PS1 Gran Turismos are probably the only first-party console games to ever specifically support a third-party peripheral (Namco's Negcon). F-Zero GX advertised support for the Logitech GC Steering Wheel, but I believe Nintendo distributed that themselves.
