Strikers 1945-3 (aka Strikers 1999) on android

Post by Mills »

Does anyone here have it on their android phone?
Mine plays flawlessly on my Motorola G phone. Couldn't believe the impressive high score table for a new Android shump title.

If the scores seem too good to be true, they are likely hacked.

Where would they be hacked from?
My 4.4 million plus score on Strikers 1945-2, doesn't even make 1% of the top all time high score. When I play multi-player mode, I always beat other players from different countries because they play so shit in collecting the 2k bonus bars. During one recent game over the weekend, I was up against 4 Japanese players all using Shinden fighter, and beat the 2nd placed high score by over 50k.

Found a site to download Gunbird-2 and a 2-in-1 cave title Dondonpachi & ESP but couldn't get either game to work. Shame really as all 3 titles looked to run smoothly on the demonstration
Trying to post YouTube demo link of Strikers 1945-3 but not working on phone. Will post at local intercafe later this week.
Would love to know how to upload a YouTube replay once I get the hang of PRO and MASTER difficulty.

STRIKERS 1945-2 and 1945-3, best shmups for Android. My favorites.

For the last two, blame CAVE and its decision to handle their games to a moronic service like G-Gee: the worst thing ever for an Android user outside Japan.
Is really that costly to open the CAVE's servers for online crap like highscores on Android?

Blow them hard, really.

Certainly you get high score boards for many mobile shmups (and other games) where people have managed to hack in and enter extremely (often impossibly) high scores. I'm not exactly what you mean by 'where would they be hacked from?'; do you mean 'who?', 'location?', 'technology platform?'. I don't know how it exactly works, but it's often possible.

Are these mobile ports on iOS too?

So, is this an official release? Any idea if it has controller support?

Yeah, to free download on googleplay https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... g&hl=en_GB

Only real downside with this game is dealing with the suicide bullets on MASTER difficulty with autofire, but the controls via touch or pad is very smooth.
Finding the end boss tech tech bonus a real pain because the blue orb appears too early.

Had problem trying to download GUNBIRD 2 https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... d&hl=en_GB

I'm using Avast as antivirus protection which gives me an "unwanted program" warning when I try to install Gunbird 2.
Did anyone experience something similar?

Btw, the Android port of Strikers 1945-3 is ace! Once again, supersmooth controls and a fair f2p design. Nice one:-)

I would have really liked the Strikers 2 port is it had had proper autofire, but the ridiculously slow unadjustable fire rate ruins the game. Is 3 the same, or does it have full auto?

Strikers 1945-3 has the same options as Strikers 1945-2 where you use your collected stock of Rubies or Gold to buy increased autofire booster, fighter planes.
I managed to unlock 5 of the 6 Jet Fighters planes from just 1CC Easy, Normal, and PRO difficulty, just playing through as normal. Managed to save enough Ruby to buy the Harrier Jet and X-36 Fighter mainly playing PRO and just reaching stage 1-5 to gain the most Ruby and Gold by completing stages.
I don't use the autofire booster on MASTER Difficulty because of the suicide bullets and Technical Bonus as the boosted autofire tends to weaken the End stages bosses far too quickly.

Anyone noticed during recent update of Strikers 1945-2 on Android 23/07/2015, that the gameplay difficulty on MASTER has been toned down.
More challenging for highscore play, but too easy for 1CC play.
Strikers 1999 has had recently been updated 27/07/2015 but I have not downloaded it yet to see what is new.

I feel that all lower difficulties have been nerfed as well, last time I played it felt much easier than before.

Haven't noticed any change on EASY, NORMAL, PRO, but the bullet-hell on MASTER is definitely toned down.
If anything, PRO should play like MASTER now, and previous version of MASTER should remain.
