Heard about this. While I don't really buy enough Nintendo stuff to take part, Club Nintendo was a really well done brand loyalty program with some cool stuff.

Weren't people supposed to be getting Mewtwo through that? Has Nintendo really thought this through?

Well, not really. Mewtwo will be released as DLC for Smash 4, purchaseable (presumably) through the eShop like DLC for other Wii U/3DS games. Registering both Smash 3DS and Smash U on Club Nintendo before a certain date made you eligible to get Mewtwo for free, and they'll send out download codes via e-mail for that. So that's not really related to Club Nintendo existing or not anymore, as the free Mewtwo promotion is long over, and they would have a separate database with what e-mails should receive a Mewtwo code.Lord Satori wrote:Weren't people supposed to be getting Mewtwo through that?
Hopefully whatever they replace it with will be something available over here too so I won't have to pretend I'm from the UK anymore. Spent the stars I had left on the ALBW soundtrack, good thing brother lives in the UK so I could have it shipped to him.

I had about 2500 coins to spend when the new rewards went up earlier in the month. I bought a SM3DL code for my daughters 3DSXL and she has been getting some good use out of it. Grabbed Earthbound, Doc Lious Punch Out!, Mario vs Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong '94 for myself. I still have around 700 coins left. Not too bad for free shit I got registering games. Couple years back I got one of those gold nunchucks and ebayed that shit for like $90 and I'm still sitting on a Majora's Mask soundtrack I got from them. I look forward to whatever they replace the old club with.
