Last BVM

Post by CPC6128 »

Hi,

You know the date of the end of manufacturing of the last monitors BVM Sony?

Is it March, 2008?

http://www.thevintageknob.org/VIDEO/PRO ... OFEEL.html this says they closed the factory down in 2007 but reopened 2 lines due to demand, I recall seeing somewhere that the BBC bought the entire last batch.

Thank you, but I already had this information.
I do not manage to find the information concerning the last ones BVM-A14 and 20 produced.

I possess two BVM-A20F1M, the date of manufacture is not indicated to behind as for my other BVM.
I looked directly on their tubes and it's indicated in November, 2007 ( 2000811 ) and December, 2007 ( 2001141 ).

You could call the Sony Pro support and just ask them. Good support, nice people and after all the BVMs are still in active support.

Yes I already have to try to call, but there is no more support pro in France.
I have to call the Sony support consumer, the people who answered me are not French, it's the tunisian, they answered me as robots and gave me an Egyptian number.
I do not even have to try to call :?
A few years ago the service pro still existed in France.

I would have called up well in the United States but my English is too rotten...

Moving forward there's always the OLED PVMs and BVMs! Wish they weren't insanely priced. Then again, the CRT BVMs weren't inexpensive new either.

I do wonder if Sony still has some b-stock models?

actually i wonder when the last 25" or larger 4:3 pvms were made. I see them for sale every so often on equipment auction sites but they all seem to be from around 1991 or so.
