Nice headphones, shmuppyLove. Are they on ear or do they surround the ears (whatever that's called in HP lingo

An original creation from E2046, they've come on a long way from just being resin kit cloners.

Purchased the MVS and Blazing Star about a year ago, but had issues deciding on a supergun and had it sitting dust until today. RGB's HAS is pretty much just what I was looking for back then, so I couldn't say no and have my MVS keep collecting dust for god knows how much longer.

I also only noticed yesterday that the game's connectors weren't in the best condition, thankfully it still actually runs.

I ended up finding the GBC color I wanted but will need a new lens. This one's not bad but it's got some deep scratches in a couple parts that are pretty distracting. I really don't know if I want to do the front light mod now that I've watched a few vids. It seems like it'll make the screen really white but I can't tell from video footage. I'd need to see one in person to know if it will look nice. My friend has an atomic purple one too so I suppose if I don't like the light I can trade models with him. I did pick up a trashed GBA AGS-001 for it so I may as well not waste my $ & try it.

It's such a well-designed product, I love universal stuff like this that actually works. And they even include piggy-back phono plug adapters, so you can grab audio from basically anything.
The mixer-puck-thing is USB powered, I even managed to power it with a cell phone battery booster and use it with my PS1

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Nice! I've also been planning to do a GBC front-light mod. I read through this thread and it looks like they found a pretty good method for minimizing internal glare:8BA wrote:I ended up finding the GBC color I wanted but will need a new lens. I've already ordered the light kit, but need to read up more on the type of LOCA that is best for this application.
But the mod looks pretty promising.

The ATH-A900X cable and earpads are starting to pack it in so I decided to step up a grade again.
ATH-M70X!
I'm in my first minutes of listening but they are mostly what I had expected: Treble is slapped right down to the basement compared to the A900X, and I kind of miss the highs, but mixes seem much better balanced now.
First thing to play was Thriller, of course. Too bad the very first play was wasted on Vevo's short Thriller version - the audio quality is horrible. It's much better to check out a user upload from the soundtrack CD, which has important stuff like stereo separation (which is still pretty good here). I'll see how burn-in works.
Other thoughts: I immediately started regretting the lack of the infamous "wing" balance system - now the brunt of the phones' weight is on the top of my head, from the crossbar, instead of spread out along the sides of my skull with the wing. The earcups feel really sweaty too. Some practice should sort this out, I hope.
Update: Still a long ways to go for the burn-in. Just tried Silent Hill 2's "White Noiz" track, which tends to break up awfully on cheap speakers / headphones. Here it's doing okay, not spectacularly, but okay. It might well be down to the fact it's just running off built-in sound, unamplified. Headphones actually came with a cheap amp but I haven't installed it.

Picked up the best version of this release for £1.50! It has a track per side as opposed to the 3 track EP with the mix I'm after sharing the B side with another mix.

Huh...so was that really you I found on RPS talking about this track? The tracker song Dead Lock by Elwood. I knew about Purple Motion for some time but pretty much everybody else inside that scene is new to me :S

Kvelertak's Meir 2xLP with XXL t-shirt that might be a tad big.

Got this for $2 with free shipping on Ebay.

Got this new for $30 with free shipping.

I was sitting at work and my boss walked up to our Security room with this for me. No he did not buy it for me but I had it paid off in full. He was right next store to the GS on his lunch and told me he would save me time and grabbed it for me while he was out. I think I talk to much about games at work.

I picked up a few, loose clean NES carts to add to my meager collection. Why the hell didn't I take more interest in the NES before the prices got ridiculous?

Emulation© - the go to solution for that collectors itch. Found at your local pharmacy/apotheke.
At least Metal Storm and Fire N Ice are decent - ultimately at this point in the game it's quite worthwhile for an NES/FC flash cartridge than shelling out large dollar on games like and beyond these. Still, I can sympathize in ownership ideas.

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
idk about awesome, but some bargain bin gaming:

FFXIII-2 (including some DLC codes I guess) was about $2.50, and I haven't really played any Final Fantasies since emulating the SNES games, save for Curtain Call, which is really the only reason I decided to get it because. Nights was supposed to be 75% off but thanks to some store errors I got it for even cheaper - the 75% wasn't taken off correctly when I paid, so I got money back - based on the original non-discounted price, but I had also a 10% off my entire purchase, so with all that I think it came out to that I paid about $3.50 for it.
They're going to have to be really fucking terrible to not have been worth buying at those prices.
