HDTV swivel mount?

Post by mikehaggar »

I'm finally taking the HD plunge! Picking up this giant bad boy (with only 17ms of lag according to the Leo Bodnar device)!

So...the real questions lie in the wall mount. I'd like to be able to mount this to the wall behind my 36" CRT and whenever I want to use it, just pull the mount in front of the TV. Do any of you know of a wall mount that does this? As in, extends far away from the wall? Also, it would be awesome if the mount swivels and can support tate.....that would be pretty incredible.....

Any ideas?

There are a lot that you can pull out from the wall like here:

Dont think you will find one that is going to extend super far and down though to completely go in front of your tube.

None of the ones at monoprice rotate much though. Seems like that feature is mostly available for the mounts for smaller size tvs. There do seem to be some though but they arent cheap:

There may be a cheaper one though that I did not see

This thread reminds me of my bimonthly search for a TV stand with a rotating swivel head and the inability to find one.

I miss my tate shmups.
