Pics from a local Antique shop in Toronto

Post by Rob79 »

So I dropped into a local vintage lighting antique shop here in Toronto Canada,
but they also sell gas an oil related items and other stuff as well. I took some pics of some of the stuff they have now. Prices were not cheap but I did manage to buy a full DSL oil can from them for $15.00
check it out :)

Heres the website and info:

Think I've seen a Mr. Peanut like the one visible there. As funny as it might sound considering the amount of rust on display, this is a lot more interesting than the collections of '50s-'70s-and-up kitsch...wait...crap that have started appearing in some of the area outlets. This reminds me more of how area antique shops looked in the late '90s, though more focused on signage which doesn't all age easily.

I once had a typewriter like those big cast iron bricks, but it was in bad shape. Kind of neat but they take up too much space to really hang onto, IMO, unless you're willing to dedicate space.

1000 mile certified oil. Oh man! Even the less-than-premium stuff my Cruze shipped with, the stuff that some people drain away on receipt, is lightyears ahead of this old stuff :)

Damn sweet radio there. I really should go to the antique stores around here in Phoenix.

Nice try on the "antique shop". We've seen your buying tendencies, and we know this is really your garage.
