I have fucking awful hayfever every summer and no amount of meds seem to work. Oddly enough it's only on this island that i'm affected. Sometimes during my sneeze fits i get told to "stop sneezing".
That's a little thing that annoys the hell out of me.

My boss. I mean, he's easily my least favorite person I've probably ever met on so many levels. But, since this is the "little things" thread, I'll add just one wee tiny thing: he doesn't understand ellipsis.

Granted, many people don't, but they at least know when it's appropriate to use them. Most people use them sort of correctly, but there's never any uniformity to how many dots to use. Typically you'll see the average idiot say something like, "I don't know about that............." Any amount of dots are go!

My shithead boss, however, uses them to end every goddamn sentence, making him look like a condescending asshole--which he is. Was there more to add to that email? Are you alluding to something? Nope! Just an idiot.

Gotta say, though, I'd be more annoyed if a surprise price drop was announced and I landed on the wrong side of that with a purchase! When you're talking about thousands of dollars of equipment...well, I'll say I can commiserate when somebody loses out on a deal worth hundreds of dollars by a day.

Speaking of these things, though, the GeForce 970 CONTROVERSY! is annoying me. But then again, I don't have to read the comments (fools comparing this to bumpgate). nVidia screwed up, and shame on them, but they can fix it.

Friends who don't act proper at wakes/funerals. I'm not a very uptight person but I at least watch my language & refrain from discussing anything inappropriate at the services. There are times where the class switch needs to be flipped on, no matter how you all normally act together.

Unlocking in videogames in general, but especially this new thing where you have to beat the game on too-easy difficulty to play at the intended level of difficulty.

Are kids really getting that dumb and sloppy these days? Is all that ritalin turning their brains into fried eggs?

I really don't think anybody is doing that for the kids. It's all for us ancient elders who haven't learned to settle down in our old age

It makes me wonder though...in their focus testing, how many people turned out to be irredeemable scrubs?

To add to that (well, we've talked about it before) the whole Sitzkrieg aspect of too many modern games. Sit on your ass and build a farm / city / whatever / sit in a corner and farm something. I've actually been gucking around with the mostly horrible Counter-Strike Nexon on Steam, for some reason I've actually taken them up on their offer of keeping my PC going while I stab 50,000 bots in the face. Just unreal. Where's the gameplay? This game isn't worth 2000 hours online. It's a shame, too, since there actually could just possibly be some shimmers of brilliance (mostly borrowed, but still there).

I think any game with unlockable difficulties/courses etc should include a full unlock code, simply to avoid irritation if your save data dies, or if you're replaying a different copy. It's hardly a "cheat" if the reward is scrub-smashing expert difficulties.

Going back to the stone age a sec, F-Zero X is good about this. 1080 isn't, I'm gonna have to solder in a new battery someday...

It annoys the hell out of me that I don't get any enjoyment out of street fighter iv anymore... After an age I finally got around to buying ultra, I played a credit yesterday and didn't even come close to even a twinge of excitement or fun. I never thought I'd see the day when a street fighter game did absolutely nothing for me. Sad times.

^ same if I'm honest... The novelty of iv wore off really quickly when it first came out. I've griped on here before about it but I must still be in some kind of denial. I'm actually more sad that the days of 2d street fighter are dead and gone and ain't never coming back.

I hear that. That's one of the reasons I gave up fighting games. Aesthetics are a big thing in fighters for me, which is why I loved the artistry of 2D sprites. I just can't stand the models in SFIV and just how goofy it is, the dramatic supers that last too long. It all just feels so slow and bland to me. :/

Yeah, bang on! Also the mish-mash of art styles as well. I can't stand those lazy, crap anime intros and endings... Why are they there? Other 2d stuff looks really cool but I have no idea who the characters are as I don't follow any manga/anime stuff. I just want street fighter to be cool again like it was in the 90's and early 2000's. I struggle to accept that it's never going back to that. I wish someone at capcom would have the balls and drive to make that happen.

Just checked in with an old import shop i used to go to and buy from all the time, they're on Facebook it seems. They posted a pic of some superplay DVDs, one was battle Garegga, no prices given, so I asked about it... It sold for £20!!!!!
