Anyone know where to find a good site with shmup sprites?

google esreveR sprite rips. He's mainly into Metal Slug IIRC, but he's done some great Raizing and Seibu rips and animated gifs.

Seems to be a lack of shmup sprites on most of the sites. Wonder if its hard to get sprites from MAME, anyone has any knowledge of that stuff.
I know there is a fairly good NES emulator that allow you to disable backrounds and stuff so you can easily get sprites. Would be cool if there some similar stuff for MAME.

CPS and Neo-Geo games can be easily ripped through WinKawaks. As for other boards, it varies with each game. Here:

I got almost everything Gradius and Darius related, as those were relatively easy to get. Raizing and early Cave games are complicated, but totally possible.

I did some of my rips (some of my sites were linked above) with Raine an old emulator which allowed me to disable layers. MAME never was easy for that. Due to this, some of my rips are just sprites/GIFs on black backgrounds. It works well as my sites have black BGs, but it's not a perfect solution.

The best was Kawaks - which I still use from time to time and which Magma already talked about. The CPS1/CPS2 emulator (never cared much for SNK) allows for disabling and makes it nice and easy to capture with different background colors, etc. That's my my Progear section (http://www.slateman.net/images/gaming/progear/) has so many sprites.

I wish I had time like I used to. Hope they help someone!
