Hi, I'm on the hunt for NEC XM29, XP29 or XV29 monitors. As most people probably know on here, these are very rare & only occasionally appear on eBay so I'm doing a bit of investigating. I live in the UK but Germany seems to be a good source for decent AV stuff so I'm looking there as well as Europe in general. Does anyone have any clues as to good contacts/sources/companies that might be able to provide any leads?
Cheers..

German's are commendable for attitudes on recycling - presume some of that rubs off on liquidation practices...
Go-dove.com and other auction houses like that for shut down places - Sign up for email: Auctions tend to come and go very quick and there's no room for any questions or dicking around. All uk video broadcast ones I noticed are of course in London. You'll have to sort out your own collection/pickup.
Any AV hire places, doubt you'll get much response directly but you can try... a lot of these firms do sell offs on ebay now (got mine via ebay from savilles av).
Good luck!

This is great, thanks so much. I've signed up for Go-Dove & will search for AV Hire & Broadcast companies.
If anyone else has any pointers I'd be extremely grateful :)
Cheers

Sorry to post twice, but I'm widening my search across Europe for places that sell ANY of the types of decent larger CRT monitors - Mitzubishi Megaview, Mitsubishi Diamondscan, NEC, Sony PVM/PGM etc. Does anyone have any pointers to specific dealers in Europe that might have one or two knocking around? Cheers :)

Look up any tech recyclers in your area, ask around at small technical colleges, labs, and hospitals. That should at least put you in the right direction to find more recent medical-grade PVMs.
