Technically - A device from 1983 can be modified to output a signal that can in turn be taken and used to produce a signal designed around 2002/2003 thanks to a kit designed in 2014/2015 that should ideally be released in 2015.

On a slightly less dorky note, I believe there are several consoles that have DV output just sitting at the chip ready to be used for output. I think the N64 and 3DO have had those outputs used in order to create higher quality analog out, but neither have had any digital output circuits created for them yet (to my knowledge).

For the N64 someone seems to be working on it. I've looked at it and decided to let someone else do it because AFAIK the N64 uses a non-standard pixel clock and I'm too lazy to work out how to scale the video signal to something that is close enough to a standard signal.

In theory, the PS1, PS2 and Dreamcast are also candidates for this, at least according to their schematics they have an accessible digital video bus between their graphics chip and DAC. GBA and NDS should also be possible, although I'm not sure if it's a good idea, especially for the NDS. =)

(Wii is on my to-do list)

I couldn't guess that from this pinout diagram, which discusses combining PPUs, except for the Vs. System and PlayChoice. Is this incomplete or out of date information?

When GCN component cables break, it most certainly brings down the fun... Thankfully a repair is possible!

I discovered that the Black connection is used for D-Terminal pin 14!

What happened? What did you have to do to fix it?
