Dreamcast to PC (usb) true lagless

So, I just finished modding my Agetec Dreamcast arcade stick, often renowned as the dreaded 'Green Goblin'. It works like a charm on the console, but my sights are now aimed at use with a PC. What are my best options? I'd like to try and avoid a pcb mod such as an MC Cthulhu or PS360+ (just to name a few) only to save a few bucks.
Something like this exists, but it seems like it might have a bad rep. Just to stress I want true lagless, since my goal is to play 2d fighters (not that anyone should ever aim for anything below lagless for their gaming :wink:).

I've also found people mentioning to daisy a Dreamcast to Playstation2 adapter > to Playstation2 to USB, which seems redundant. Let me know if anyone has ran into this issue, or to simply convince me to just pcb mod. Thanks.
