Got the Batsugun Normal 1-ALL a few days back. I lived it to the stage-4 boss too. In fact, I perished on about the last enemy bullet as the boss went down; a hugely frustrating way to loose a big chunk of score.

Still, got the clear with lives in stock. There's no life bonus, is there? I don't think so.

Thanks, mine wasn’t a clear though (GAMEOVER lol), just my first time +10 million getting the letter score. I’ve done a low score/rank clear a few weeks ago. I have not letter-cleared Garegga or Batrider yet, only Ibara.

Haha! Congrats anyway! I should have read it more carefully. I assumed, because it was you it was clear, as you clear everything it seems!

Hi y'all,

O/T but after almost two years of trying, I finally 1cc'd Money Idol Exchanger.

This doubles my list of games that I've 1cc'd

From the special ending:

High Score entry: (this wasn't my highest score by a long chalk)

Well, I got a 1cc of Mushihimesama Futari Black Label Original on my 1st ever try at it, so that happened.

I used Reco for that one. I might go do a better 1cc of that, since that one isn't anything to write home about. I also did that run right after waking up from a nap, & feeling hungry and all at the same time, so yeah, that too. At any rate, I guess I got that one out of the way.

Hmm, to do a better 1cc of BL Original, or go work on BL Maniac already...

I'll say this, though: BL Original was a fun mode to do, and I'd like to score-run in it someday, just like how there's a couple other games I'd like to score-run someday, when I get what I need done first! :)

Happens a lot!

I'd suggest trying to clear 1.5 Original if you haven't already. Superior experience. If you're playing for score it's also quite different.

Heh, I can actually see why that's the case, doing it myself, haha. I just posted that up, to update on my last post here in this thread a few days ago.

Yeah, I actually did clear 1.5 Original a few days ago before I did this little thing with BL Original. I used Reco/Normal for that 1.5 Original 1cc of mine's, and I probably might do another using Palm Abnormal. Yeah, I actually would like to do some score-runs of Futari at some point one day, so I might just check into that.

I don’t care what mode, or even what game, getting a 1CC on the first try is badass.

I figured that was the case. Same deal with me: I cleared 1.5 a few times and when I finally got my hands on BL it was a path of no resistance on the first run. It's really all about scoring in that ver/mode.

This, so much. Purple, nice job on the 1.5 and BL clears; I'd recommend trying BL Maniac before 1.5 Maniac. In my experience BL Maniac is a good step up from Original but is more forgiving of mistakes than 1.5 Maniac.

Also congrats chempop on the Batrider letter! :D

There are certain games where this really can't apply. Lords of Thunder Mega CD and Sylphia for example. In fact of you don't 1cc Sylphia on your first try you really, really suck.

I doubt I would have 1cc'd Futari BL on my first attempt if I hadn't had experience with 1.5 though. Maybe.

I picked up Prismatic Solid, hadn't played it in forever. Made it to 2-3 with a score of 378,570.
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

Ahaha, thanks everyone! ^^;;

Also, good going on your stuff, chempop, Cagar, AeroCityMayor, and Stevens!

Also, yeah, I did do another thing. Yeah, some time last night, I made a bet to myself, that I'd get BL Maniac before 2014 ends, despite the fact that I've never really worked on BL Maniac before, and so, since last night, I've worked on getting BL Maniac down up to a certain point before taking a break, & getting some sleep. Earlier today, back at the afternoon, a bit after I woke up, I went to put a couple hours of playtime in, and sure enough, as of Dec. 31st, 2014, at 17:56, I got this 1st 1cc of Mushihimesama Futari BL Maniac, well before 2014 ended :) (In the area I live in, at least)! ^^

Screenshot of that

Mushihimesama Futari BL Maniac 1cc video

Black Label - Xbox 360 - Maniac - Reco
PTG - 273,504,871 - ALL (Lx 0, Bx 0)

This, too, isn't enough to get into the leaderboards here as well, but eh, that's alright, I got what I wanted here. One day, though, I'll improve on this, and the other stuff, particularly since, while I was in the middle of working on this, I got to actually figure out some of the scoring mechanics here for BL Maniac.

Well, it was nice to work on something else other than Touhou for a bit, get some fresh air and all, and I've had a lot of fun in Futari, that I did, but yeah, I believe it's time for me to head back to Gensokyo (I got what I wanted for Mushi Futari, from the 1.5 Original 1cc, BL Original 1cc, & BL Maniac 1cc, so I think I'm currently satisfied with this much of Futari for now), since I haven't yet beaten the other Touhou STG games on Lunatic yet (I've done 5 of them so far in Lunatic mode), and there's lots of other things I want to do for the Touhou games that I haven't done yet, so yeah. Yes, I was working on IN Lunatic mode, the last time I left off...

I will return to Futari one day, and when I do, I'll start to do some actual score-runs, and yes, I'll want that 1.5 Maniac 1cc & BL God mode 1cc the next time I get back, so when I gather up more skill from other games, I'll do that! :) I guess I'll also do a 1.01 Original 1cc as well sometime, along with those.

Well, Happy New Years, everyone! :)

Today I cleared Crimzon Clover / Original (doujin release) with Type-Z, after just a few tries. With Type-I I'm getting close to the stage 4 boss.

Indeed. Certain games are just low difficulty with generous resources like Cave Novice modes or Touhou games on low difficulty settings.
Other games like Flame Zapper Kotsujin for example has mechanics like recovering shields that combined with very sparse memorization demanding sections make it very feasible to play through on first try.

It all depends on a number of variables, memorization demanding spots (if any), resources, overall difficulty, and most importantly player skill. Still, since you only get one chance at it, congratulations on making it though. Nerves alone can screw you over in a situation like that.

Not really a big achievement but I'm now clearing Dodonpachi's first loop daily (not even playing that much compared to what I used to, maybe 4-5 games a day).
I can definitely feel progress.

For the life of me I don't understand why it isn't more popular.

Good graphics, fitting music, accessible on default settings (I think I was able to clear normal and hard), warp mechanic (duh), and some great boss fights (stages 3 and 4 particularly). Scoring system is not complicated at all (shoot everything/don't die).

If I have any complaints it's that some of the boss fights are underwhelming (looking at you stages 2 and 5), and that FUCKING mid boss on stage 3 can eat a giant bag of dicks. I hate that guy.

Cleared QP Shooting - Dangerous!! on the highest difficulty.

Thanks to Jaimers' 69mil run for inspiring me to try the game. I think its a pretty good shooter, will go for a better score.

Got my first all clear of Area 88 for SFC tonight. Score seems to be such a meaningless thing in this game (especially with the infinitely milkable supply truck stages)... it's there strictly to earn extends (which could have just as easily been purchasable items). They should have simply made money the game's score and just had a running total for all cash earned and then another for the player's available income.

Also, not having a stupid auto-fire that cuts off after 2 seconds would have been a vast improvement.

after 3 years of on-off playing of this game, and not playing it properly for.. over a year?
So this has been bugging me for a long, long time. It was pretty much the first bullet hell game that I took really seriously and learned, so this is a very, very good milestone of how much I've improved over the years!
With that said I'm veeryyy happy and relieved with this. : )

DDP DOJBL 2-ALL!

Pls no laughing at score I honestly didn't even bother to chain stage 1!
And I honestly don't believe how long I lasted during washing machine as soon as I used my last hyper
(PB is still 583m from years ago. Not gonna improve it though, I really don't like playing this game..)
Still feeling like playing some hard, older games. Ketsui?
